Chapter Nine- Secrets revealed

~~Marco's point of view~~

I'm jerked awake by Marielle jumping out of bed. I sit up as she runs to the bathroom. I hear her puking, so I get up and go in there with her. I sit on the tub and rub her back.

She stops.

Marco: "Are you ok?"

Marielle: "Yes. We need to talk."

Marco: "Ok."

She pukes again.

Marco: "How long has this been happening?"

Marielle: "For a while. It's only in the mornings."

I know what's happening.

Marco: "Does Marcus know?"

Marielle: "No. I get it out before we leave for work."

Marco: "Have you taken a test?"

Marielle: "I wanted to do that with you."

Marco: "It's my fault. I didn't think about using condoms."

Marielle: "I'm not mad about it. I'd say I'm about eight weeks. I haven't had a period since we started this."

She pukes again.

Marielle: "Jesus, this sucks."

Marco: "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

Marielle: "I didn't want you to bail on me."

Marco: "Bail on you?"

Marielle: "Yes."

Marco: "I love you, Marielle. Bailing on you is the last thing on my mind."

Marielle: "Repeat that."

Marco: "Which part?"

Marielle: "The first part."

Marco: "I LOVE YOU."

She pukes again.

That's why she's been begging for it. Her sex drive is probably through the roof right now.

Marielle: "Marco?"

Marco: "Yeah, Baby Girl?"

Marielle: "I love you too."

I kiss her forehead.

Marco: "Can I get you anything?"

Marielle: "No. I'm almost done."

She pukes for a bit longer. She brushes her teeth and grabs clothes.

Marielle: "I'm going to shower."

Marco: "While you're doing that, I'm going to buy a test."

Marielle: 'Ok."

I kiss her and leave. Thankfully no one else is awake. I walk across the street and down the block; I find the drugstore I was looking for. I grab two tests.
