Chapter Five- Do it for Turner

~~Brooklyn's point of view~~

I'm trying to process what she just said.

Brooklyn: "Repeat that, Megan."

I feel Marcus's hand on my leg.

Megan: "I'm serious."

I see her tears. My heart is breaking for her.

Megan: "I need you two to do this for me. You heard Chase."

Marcus: "We did, Megan. Don't you think that is a little extreme?"

Megan: "Nothing is too extreme for Turner. Brooklyn, you said you'd do anything for him. This would almost guarantee that Marcus would get him."

Brooklyn: "We aren't together, Megan. Marcus doesn't want me."

Marcus: "This is my son Brooklyn."

Brooklyn: "I know that."

Knowing how I feel about him, this makes me nervous. Marcus and I do well did have a great relationship. I don't know if I can do this with him.

The doorbell rings.

Marcus: "I'll get it."

Megan speaks as soon as he's leaves the room.

Megan: "Brooklyn, you've been in Turner's life since he's been born. I know things aren't great between you and Marcus. Please don't do it for him. Please do it for Turner. Do it for me, Please."

Marcus comes back with Ryder.

Marcus: "I know this is important, but I'll be right back."

Megan: "Marcus..."

Marcus: "We'll talk about it, Megan."

Megan: "Ok."

I see her head drop; She turns to look out the window; she had put Turner down. He came straight to me. I pick him up, and he wraps his arms around me in a hug.

Tears come to my eyes.

I love this baby like he's my own. Could I really let my own selfishness play a part in his future?

Brooklyn: "Megan..."

Megan: "Yeah?"

Brooklyn: "I'll do it if Marcus agrees."

Out of nowhere, she comes and hugs me.

Megan: "Thank you."

Ryder: "What's happening here?"

Brooklyn: "Nothing Ryder."

Ryder: "Looked like a little girl on girl action."

Marcus: "Who?"

Ryder: "Megan and Brooklyn."

Brooklyn: "It was a hug jackass."

Marcus: "What did I miss?"

Brooklyn: "Nothing."

Marcus: "Ryder knows I told him."

Megan: "Why would you do that?"
