~~Beth's point of view~~

I wake up, and it's daylight.

I jump up and run to Alexander's room.

He's not there.

I check the whole house.

They're gone.

I go grab my phone 11:23 am.

I scroll through my phone, finding Chase's phone number. I'm about to hit call when I hear the front door open. I come out of my room.

Chase: "Good Morning."

Beth: "Morning. You scared the shit out of me."

He laughs.

Chase: "Sorry."

Beth: "Why didn't you get me up?"

Chase: "I wanted to let you sleep."

Beth: "My job is to take care of him."

Chase: "As you can see, he's perfectly fine, and I accomplished my goal."

Beth: "What was that?"

Chase: "To see you not exhausted. When was the last time you went to you went to bed at nine-thirty pm and woke up after eleven am?"

Beth: "Since before the babies."

Chase: "Exactly. Angel is sixteen months old."

He's right; I feel really good. It's been a while since I slept that good.

Beth: "Where did you go?"

Chase: "We went to get breakfast."

He comes over and hands me, Alexander.

Chase: "I'll be right back."

Beth: "Ok."

I make my way to the couch. Chase comes back with a bag.

Chase: "I couldn't carry this with him."

Beth: "You forgot and left his seat in the car, didn't you?"

Chase: "I did."

Beth: "What time are we going to your mom's?"

Chase: "Around three."

Beth: "Good, after we eat, can we go to the grocery store? Because once you go to work, I don't have a way to go anywhere. I'm also not going to order food. I'm too big to be eating out every day."

Chase: "You're perfect, Beth."

I blush.

Beth: "On the weeks I'm here; we're eating at home."

Chase: "I can't cook."

Beth: "I can."

Chase: "That wasn't part of the deal."

Beth: "We don't have a deal."

Chase: "So, we're making it up as we go?"
