"You know, you're always like this, Bill. Always. You can never just- confront your feelings- ugh!" Eleanora spluttered. They'd been spitting insults back and forth for a good twenty minutes. It was almost getting boring for the twins. "Why can't you just tell me what's going on?"

"Oh, I'm the one who's not communicating?"

"You literally didn't speak to me for almost six months!"

"Not because I didn't want to!"

Eleanora didn't even know how to respond to that one. She tugged on the ends of her hair and stared out at the maze, not knowing if she wanted to scream or cry or punch Bill in the face. Maybe all three. Why did he have to be so confusing? Eleanora hated that she could never tell what he was thinking. All the same, she couldn't help hanging onto every word he said.

"I thought we were going to go back to normal," Bill said quietly.

"Oh, come off it. That was bullshit and we both know it." Eleanora continued staring into maze as she spoke, not wanting to look at Bill. "I don't even know what 'normal' means for us anymore."

Bill took one look at Eleanora and immediately felt guilty. She looked exhausted. For the first time, he didn't know what to say to her. He knew what he wanted to say, but he doubted it would do him much good now. "El, I'm sorry-"

She rounded on him, staring at him with a piercing gaze. He was surprised to see angry tears in her eyes. "Why are you like this?" she said. "I can't get through to you, but you- I can-" she couldn't put it into words. The way she immediately felt safe when he was around. How she could always open up to him about anything. How she trusted him with everything.

"What?" Bill said, exasperated. "But what?"

"I... don't know." She fell silent and quickly wiped the tears out of her eyes.

Fred did a double take, nudged George's shoulder, and they both rounded on Bill. "This is exactly what I was talking about-" Fred started, but Eleanora silenced him.

"It's okay," she said.

"No, it's not!"

"No, I mean I don't need any help with this." As angry as she was at Bill, as confused as she felt about everything, she felt like she had a handle on things. She didn't need anyone to step in because, while Bill was a problem, he was her problem to deal with. She knew him and she knew that he understood her. She turned back to the argument. "You're just-"

"You know what, El?" Bill said. "You act like I'm the confusing one here when you act all- like you're-"

"I don't know what you're talking about-"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about!"

"I don't act any sort of way-"

"Oh, and then you tell me I can't confront my feelings-"

"You have no idea what I'm feeling-"

"That's the problem!"

"You-"

Everyone was talking at once. The twins watched in confused alarm as Bill and Eleanora talked over each other, not really listening to what the other was saying. Their voices grew louder and Eleanora's hands waved everywhere as they did when she was upset. It was obvious that she was fighting back tears and that Bill was struggling between the want to comfort her and his own aggravation with the situation.

"You just don't understand-"

"You don't get that-"

There was a seconds pause.

"It's you-"

"It's always been you-"

They said it at the same time. George let out a low whistle. Bill and Eleanora stared at each other in shock.

"What?" Bill whispered, taking a step forward. Eleanora opened her mouth to respond but nothing came out. Her eyes never left his. She closed her mouth, setting it in a defiant frown. Bill ran a hand over the back of his hair. "You... feel the same way?" Eleanora nodded silently. Neither of them moved.

Then, there was a crack and Eleanora jumped, grabbing Bill's arm.

"And, they're back!" Bagman boomed. Eleanora was distracted from Bill for a split second. Cedric was injured. He was laying motionless on the grass, Harry clutching him tightly. The crowd cheered for the champions and Eleanora's view of the ground was obscured. She started to clap with everyone else, her mind buzzing with everything that had happened in the last hour. She didn't know what she was feeling anymore. It was hard to breathe and the noise was too much.

It happened slowly. The screams echoed from the front of the crowd, but it took a minute for then news to reach the spot where Eleanora was standing. Then, it was sudden. Screams filled the stands. "He's dead."

Cedric's dead.

Eleanora finally got a clear view of his lifeless body and couldn't breathe. She didn't even realize she was crying until a tear rolled from her cheek and landed on her hand. It was the kind of crying that you feel in your chest and your stomach. Long, uncontrollable sobs that racked her body and made breathing impossible. She turned to Bill, who was staring in horror at the field, and buried her face in his chest, no longer thinking about the stupid argument they'd been having. His arms instinctively went around her and he buried his face in her hair. "He's dead."

"I know," he murmured, his throat choked up. "I know."
