In the hospital cafeteria, people came and went, the noise was constant.

But in her ears and eyes, everything was about the man who was sitting in front of her.

Ji Qingying's ears began to get hot.

She pursed her lower lip, about to ask him what he was laughing at, when Fu Yanzhi stopped smiling and handed her the tableware on one side.

"Eat it."

"..."

Ji Qingying glanced at him, the man looked calm, completely unaware of how attractive he was looking just a moment ago.

She cleared her mind and said very calmly, "Have some soup first."

Fu Yanzhi set his eyes on the white thermos.

Seeing him staring at the thermal insulation box, Ji Qingying took the initiative to say, "Just think of it as courtesy demands reciprocity."

Fu Yanzhi didn't understand, so he stared at her.

Ji Qingying wanted to make it clear, "You made me braised pork ribs yesterday afternoon, and so I would make rib soup for you today."

With that, she stretched out her hand to twist off the lid of the thermos and poured out the soup.

Her fingers looked fair and beautiful, blending well with the white porcelain bowl.

It looked pleasing to the eye.

Fu Yanzhi glanced, then lowered his head.

"How is it?"

The look in her eyes was easy to read, as she was unable to hold back and directly asked, "Is the taste okay?"

Fu Yanzhi took a sip, and paused.

Ji Qingying looked at him, inexplicably still feeling a little uneasy, "Does it not taste good?"

She frowned, "It shouldn't be, my stewed soup usually turns out really good."

Fu Yanzhi raised his head, and said, "Not bad."

His voice was calm, and his words were simple enough without too many emotions behind them, but it was easy to convince people.

As soon as those words left his mouth, Ji Qingying breathed a sigh of relief.

"That's good."

She lowered her head and drank the warm soup beside her, feeling quite self confident, "Although I haven't done it for a long time, I haven't forgotten what I learned before."

"Okay."

Fu Yanzhi said, "It tastes good."

Ji Qingying was startled, her lips crooked and she smiled. She looked at the rib soup in the thermos and replied, "Then you can drink it all, you'll be able to have some proper nutrition."

Fu Yanzhi didn't refuse."

Ji Qingying's soup was very rich and yet light.

On the surface, it looked really good.

Fu Yanzhi did feel that he was hungry, so he finished all the rib soup and ate at least half of the packed meal, and then stopped.

His meal looked to be finished, Ji Qingying observed as she looked at him sideways.

"You quickly go back and take a rest."

She looked at the time. Only half an hour was left.

"I heard from the nurse, did you arrange surgery in the afternoon?"

Fu Yanzhi nodded.

Today was Monday, and the hospital was usually very busy on the weekdays.

Ji Qingying nodded, smiled and said, "You have had a long day."

The two walked out of the cafeteria, one person was going back to the hospital's surgery department, and the other side was heading towards the hospital gate.

He looked at the person behind him and said lightly, "Go to the lobby first."

Ji Qingying was startled. As she looked at his tall figure, she was moved indescribably.

This person, even though he was tired, he didn't seem to forget the gentlemen inside him.

She didn't refuse, nor was she polite with him.

Ji Qingying responded in agreement, sped up and walked towards the door.

It was afternoon time, so the sun shone through the dense branches and leaves, leaving shadows of mottled fragments on the ground.

The two people's silhouettes cast down were stretched out.

Fu Yanzhi's considerate behavior would only make Ji Qingying fell for him more deeply.

After getting in the car, she looked back at him.

"I will inform you once I reach home."

Fu Yanzhi stood beside her with his hands in his pockets and nodded gently.

When the car left, he turned and went back inside the hospital building.

As soon as Xu Chengli woke up from an afternoon nap, he saw that a certain someone was back.

He opened the window blinds to let the sunlight shine in, and looked back, "Why did you eat for so long?"
