EVERYONE WAS HEAVY in their conversation. First years had just been sorted into their houses.

Dumbledore had just finished his speech and everyone was enjoying the big feast.

Everyone except one person.

Venus Lupin.

The girl's stomach was too stressed out to even think about eating. She just had a gut feeling that things were about to change. And not for the best.

"She's not eating again"

She heard Sirius whisper to Remus who looked over at his sister. Without hesitation, the boy offered her a piece of chocolate that made her slightly smile.

It was something that the duo both enjoyed and brought happiness within them.

"You know, you have to eat V"

Remus told her as she shrugged while bringing another piece of chocolate to her mouth. "Not hungry", she barely mumbled before seeing a fork with mashed potatoes coming towards her mouth.

"Here comes the airplane"

James said with a smile as Venus couldn't help but laugh. The girl opened her mouth causing the boy put the fork in her mouth.

"Mom used to do that when I wouldn't eat, it works wonders", he stated as the girl rolled her eyes.

As the marauders and Venus walked towards the common room, they were soon met with Lily Evans who looked rather angry.

"You and you, come on. We have duty", she said to Remus and James who looked at each other.

Remus was still a prefect but James had gotten assigned HeadBoy, much to everyone's surprise.

"See you guys later"

James cooed happily while following Lily who was rolling her eyes. "Don't stay up to late"

Remus whispered to his sister as she nodded before seeing them walk away.

Peter eventually decided to leave them too, saying he wanted to get some sweets from the kitchen. That left Venus Lupin and Sirius Black, all alone. "Are you okay?", the boy asked after awhile as they stopped in their track.

"Yeah-...why wouldn't I be?", she questioned while he raised a knowing eyebrow.

"I swear-"

"V, don't bullshit me. I know you're not, talk to me"

He said as they walked inside the common room.

The two best friends sat on the couch in front of the fire place.

Wrapped in a heavy blanket.

Snuggled close to each other.

"I'm scared. I'm so fucking scared"

She admitted as silent tears started streaming down her face. Sirius's heart broken as he felt her tears through his shirt.

Bringing her close to him, he rested his head on hers. Venus could smell his cologne mixed with a hint of leather.

She always loved how he smelled.

It was like home.

"I won't let anything happen to you, I promise", the Black whispered to her as she held onto his shirt tightly. "Promise?", she asked as he nodded.

"Promise."

Remus was walking next to a familiar curly black haired Slytherin.

Regulus.

"How's V?", the boy asked after awhile as the Lupin boy slightly blushed. He had grew quite fond of the boy, despise his association with death eaters.

"She wouldn't eat until we forced her too"

"It's getting worse"

The concerned brother stated while Regulus couldn't help but feel slightly guilty.

"I shouldn't have been avoiding her...", the boy started as Remus pressed a hand on his broad shoulder. "This isn't your fault. Trust me"

"You're a good brother, Remus"

The Slytherin said as the two of them looked into each other's eyes for a second longer then they should've.

Remus's gaze looked down at Regulus's lips as the Black boy couldn't help but feel his stomach twist into a knot.

Was that what liking someone felt like?

Was that what falling in love was?

All those mushy gushy feelings and the inability to form a proper sentence?

"I-...erm...we should get going", Remus said while breaking the eye contact the two boys had.

Regulus looked at his feet, too embarrassed to even mutter a word. That caused Remus to feel bad. The werewolf grabbed the black haired boy's chin in between his fingers before lifting it up slightly.

With a hint of courage, Remus crashed his lips onto the Black's.

Regulus could hear his heart pounding against his chest, hoping Remus couldn't hear it.

The werewolf couldn't, maybe because his heart was pounding just as hard.

They lips moved in unison, as if they were made for each other. Like they had been waiting for this their whole life.

When the two boys parted away, slightly panting, Regulus couldn't hide the redness of his cheeks anymore. Just like Remus couldn't hide his.

"You're quite cute when you blush, Lupin"
