"Helen, thanks again for having me" Jace says, hugging my mom goodbye the next morning.

"Know that you're always welcome here" she answers with a glisten in her eye, and I can tell that she adores him.

"Love you mom, I'll be back after new year's" I say, giving her a hug too.

"Have a good time you two" she answers, waving us goodbye as we make our way to Jace's car.

Ava and Ryan have left early this morning to catch a flight to California together to visit Ryan's family, so already said goodbye to them early in the morning. Hopping into the Q5, I feel anxiety coming over me. Today's the day I'm meeting Jace's father.

"Where does your dad live?" I ask, as Jace starts the engine.

"Bellingham" he answers casually, placing his hand on my leg.

I nod my head back at him. "What's his name, first of all?" I wonder.

"William" he answers, but quickly corrects himself with "Will." I'm extremely curious to know what William is like and even more excited to, hopefully, find out more about Jace through him. If Jace doesn't want to talk, maybe his dad does. My anxiety is getting the better of me as my leg starts shaking slightly. I'm able to control it pretty well, but Jace still notices.

"Are you nervous?" he asks me, keeping his eyes on the road.

"More excited than nervous. You know I'm always happy to get to know more about you" I smile at him.

"Right, you're so fucking nosy" Jace smirks back at me quickly.

"Nosy?" I laugh back at him. "You know, it's actually pretty normal that you want to know everything about the person you like" I say defending myself and crossing my arms playfully.

"What, you like me?" Jace smirks another time, faking enthusiasm.

Laughing for the second time today, I give him a light smack onto his arm. "Stop it" I say trough my chuckles.

For a while I admire the beautiful scenery we're passing, realising that I'll forever be grateful to have grown up in a beautiful state like Washington. Soon enough, we arrive in the beautiful city called Bellingham.

"Ready?" Jace asks me before opening his car door.

"Ready" I confirm to him, taking one last big breath. I'm glad I wore another dress today, playing around with the hem of it is weirdly enough very calming.

We walk up to a small, beautiful house with an impressively green front yard. I think William likes gardening. Jace knocks on the door, as my heart picks up its pace. It doesn't take long for his father to open the door. I don't know what I expected, but I see a fairly young man standing in front of me, wearing dark blue jeans and a light grey sweater. He has a tall figure, yet muscles can be seen through his fairly tight top. He has light grey hair, with a similar haircut to Jace. I can only see a few wrinkles when he smiles. William is the exact image of his son. I see where Jace gets the handsomeness from.
