even through the eleventh hour
i stay connected through the line
the scribbles that escape our pens
draw us closer to one another
through the stormy nights in a row
the words of your sucrose mouth
speak comfort into my fingers
and i hold you closer than before
when i left you in the west
we never said goodbye for long
as the sun awakens in the east
get up as i dream of you
stretching into the orient's corners
i think of you wherever i go
longing for my european pilgrimage
when one day we will meet again
