058 - portrait of him

themes: romance, admiration, passion

i save my brightest colors

for the days i paint his portrait

the sky couldn't be bluer than

when it's reflected in his eyes

did he think i wouldn't notice

the way his cheeks flush for me

i'm selfish for wanting him to stay

for keeping him all to myself

when the sun was made to shine

solely to rest on his amber skin

and the moon is kind on his edges

sculpting his rough shadows in light

our renaissance of love burns brighter

born into stars that no longer shine

tonight my lips are my brush

and his mouth is my canvas
