themes: love, hope, persistence
like the ocean waves i was pulled into you
for every time the shoreline pushed me back
i always came rushing forth again
making my home in the foamy embrace
the storm thrashed us around
and tried to break my steady gaze
but here we stand once again
afloat on the hope of our hearts
in these moments of serenity
hold my hand as dawn breaks
and we will never be thrown overboard
until the day you wish me away
i will be here every sunrise
kissing the horizon of your mouth
