Akimoto ran through the cold and white walls of Musutafu hospital. This wasn't her usual hospital, yet the smell and ambience of it all felt like second nature to her. Looking left and right, all she could see were the people walking in and out of different rooms and none of it was the main entrance.
Her mother lied to her. This was the hospital where her class was staying in. They weren't in Tokyo General Hospital like she guessed.
Where... where are they?!
She shouldn't run. Heck, she shouldn't even be worried about her friends. Her eyes landed on the large glass door separatiung the dark outside and the main lobby. She raced towards it like it was the race for her life. For all that she knew, her mother would be tailing right behind her.
Akimoto didn't know that her mother let her run away. With a broken heart, Akimoto Hikaru let her daughter go for her own good.
A quick gulp and peek through the glass doors and she could see a familiar red-and-white haired male that was her friend. It felt like days since she last saw him and it felt refreshing that they were in the same scenario all over again.
"Shouto!" She yells out, stopping just when she was outside and the cold had came in contact with her bandaged skin. "Crap, it's cold..."
Todoroki turns around and saw Akimoto outside where she shouldn't be. "Eli?!" He ran after her. Iida, Midoriya, Kirishima and Yaoyorozu was behind him too.
"Eli?! Shouldn't she be inside?" Iida huffed just when they were circling around the weak girl. "Akimoto, what on earth are you doing out here?!"
Akimoto was still catching her breath but wanted to tell them her plan already. "I... I'm planning on..."
"On what, Eli?! Look at yourself!" Yaoyorozu immediately takes off her jacket and wraps it around her friend. "It's freezing outside and you're still wearing a thin hospital gown!"
"I know... I just really... really wanted to–"
Kirishima interrupts her. "Eli, don't tell me you're going to–"
"I'm coming with you guys!" She stares into their worried eyes. "I don't care how bad I look or how weak I am right now, but I just need to–"
"No." Iida purses his lips as everyone looks at him now. "I can't let you."
Akimoto parts her lips and slowly stands up straight. "I need to." Slowly, she walks up to him with a glare. "I need to save him."
"You can't save him."
"You don't know that yet!" Akimoto yells.
Midoriya and Todoroki tried to calm down the girl. "Woah, Eli! Calm down, Iida's right. You're not in good condition and-and we might get into trouble–"
"But it's my fault isn't it?!" Akimoto turns to him. She felt her heart thump but she paid no mind to it.
Yaoyorozu pulls the orange-haired from behind. "Eli..."
"It's because of me he's there, right? ..." She gulped. A quick turn around to meet Kirishima who was as shocked as the others.
Kirishima stared right back at her and shakes his head. "Eli, they're right–"
"You hate me."
The redhead was caught off-guard. "W-what?"
"You hate me, don't you?" She repeats again. "It's my fault that your best friend is out there doing god knows what. You're mad at me for that, right?"
