18; new powers and heartburns

"Start!!" 

In an instant, all of the first years ran towards the direction of the tunnel, making Akimoto stumble and lose her balance. 

"W-waah!" She exclaimed, twisting her body from side-to-side to avoid the first years. 

Her eyes fixed on the tunnel's exit and waited for the perfect time to launch herself up, not wanting to burn her other peers. 

They all rushed past the girl as she regains her balance, still not moving forward. She noticed an ice-cold layer under her feet and knowing straight away whose quirk it was.

None other than Shouto...

The girl took this as a chance to use her Ignition Ability. She used the flames on the side tracks and manipulated it to transfer it to her feet. Once she felt the heat balled in her heels, she released it all in one go and propelled through the tunnel, making sure that the only thing that will distract those who were behind her was the smoke.

"Sorry!!" She calls out, flying into the air and finding the ash-blonde. 

Where are you, Katsuki? Her eyes traveled around the course and landed on the familiar ash-blonde hair color. 

She swoops down, her body horizontal as if she was laying on a bed midair. "Hello!!" 

Katsuki glanced, but once he realizes that it was Akimoto who greeted him, his face turned into a sneer in under a second. "You!" He yelled. "Get out of my way!" He reaches out his left palm to her and started an explosion.

And of course, Eli used her quirk, manipulating his explosion so that it wouldn't hurt her or disturb her own flame. 

Once the smoke cleared out, Akimoto was still beside Katsuki as they were neck-in-neck in the race. She sent out a tongue as she faced forward to annoy someone else, this time, Shouto was her target. 

Katsuki grunted and cussed out loud when Akimoto propelled through the air with the flames on her feet without any trouble. It made him angry so much that he unexpectedly released a large explosion that made him fly out in the air farther than before. 

"I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY SO EASILY, AKIMOTO!!" He yelled as his eyes widen in pure annoyance and anger, he wasn't about to lose to Eli in the first race.

As if I'd fucking let you win!

Akimoto stopped midair when large robots appeared in front of her, her flames emitting from the balls of her feet disappearing as she deactivated her quirk. 

"Targets found," a robotic sound emerged from the enemy towering above Akimoto. "-lots!"

Todoroki also stopped on her right, she gives a double-take before realizing Shouto was next to her. "Oi! Shoutooo!" She cries out while letting out a chuckle. "Looks like I caught up with you!" Her head tilted to the left as she rests her palms on her hips.
