It was silent that night in Eli's bedroom. The only sound resonating around her bedroom walls were the sound of the monitor that measures Eli's heartbeat on her bedside table. She continues to read the latest issue of Daredevil, seeming to distract herself when she wasn't allowed to touch her cellphone– or any gadgets in general.

A knock on her door interrupted her reading. "Yeah?" She whispered, not knowing who it might be. A quick gaze up and she meets her father's eyes. "Dad..."

Kojin smiles at her as he walks to her bed. "Hey, sweetie..." He cooed. He takes off his glasses at the same time he sat next to her. "How's my girl feeling?"

She gave a quick nod as she flicks through another page. "Just reading." She answered right away, "Hey, dad?"

"Yes?" He leaned in closer.

"Where's mom?" She asks, looking straight into his eyes. "I haven't seen her today..."

Kojin scoffs, and looking down to her floor. "Out," A shake of his head saying that he was unsure.

His daughter took note of him shaking his head, "Out where?" Curiosity crossed her mind.

"Hero work." He nods, locking eyes with her, a hint of bitterness present. "At the agency."

Eli pouts, then looks back down to her graphic novel. "Oh, okay..." She chews on her lips. "She's number four, after all."

Kojin continued to listen to his daughter's light and tired voice. "Mm-hmm,"

"People must be wondering 'what's the number five hero doing?'.

The father tenses. "What?"

Eli shrugged. "You and mom haven't been doing hero work together recently." Then gave him a quick glance, "Especially you."

Looks at her, eyes widening a bit in surprise as he concealed it with a smile. "Well, I was too busy trying to make the dream of my daughter true." His hand moved from his pockets, grabbing the plastic pill container.

A chuckle came from the young girl's lips. "Thanks, dad." She gave him a sincere look. "You've done a lot for me, even sacrificing your hero work."

"I'll do everything for you, sweetie." Her father gave her a blank smile. "You know that right?" He softly grabs the girl's cold cheeks, trying to warm it up using the heat from his palm.

Eli's eyes crinkle for a kid smile. "You know I'd do everything for you too, dad."

Kojin retracts his palm as he reaches out the pill bottle. "That's my girl." He whispered, "Eli, starting today, you need to take these pills–"
