"Can you fucking stop?!"

It was like a gunshot has been pierced through Katsuki's heart.

He didn't know Eli could swear. That of all people, she would. He knew Eli as a down-to-earth girl, someone who is open and honest to everyone, someone who isn't as bad as him. She is his opposite after all. He looked at the livid girl in front of him, the campfire which was unoccupied behind her looked like it was dancing for her.

She swore because of him.

"Eli–"

"Stop, stop– stop fucking calling my name!" She spins around, back facing his while she rubs her temples. "Can you– just– leave me alone..." Eli shakes her head.

He gulps before approaching her again. Katsuki wanted to know, right now while they're alone. "What's happening to you?"

The girl darts her eyes everywhere except Katsuki's as she chews on her lip to contain herself. "No... no, you won't understand–"

"Understand what?" He pushes.

"Understand what I've been hiding from everyone! What I've been hiding from you!" She whimpers, her sobs getting caught in her throat. "And– and it hurts so fucking much because I don't even know myself! Why do I need to hide it? Why do I need to... go through all this alone?"

Katsuki sees her tired and blank state like she was breaking in front of him. He doesn't respond– he doesn't have a clue of what to respond with.

"I've always been good. I've always been there for everyone. I'm kind. I'm nice to people. I've never once in my life told people that they're shitty behind their backs even though they are. I'm not like that. I'm never like that." She cries out. "But the thing is, why do bad things always happen to me? Why not the people who are bad? Why me?"

The ash-blond hitches his breathing. Bad things? "Eli, what do you mean bad– no." He rephrases himself. "Eli, you don't have to go through this alone–"

"I don't want to, but I have to."

He rushes up to her so that they were at least a few inches apart. "No, you don't! I'm here! Eli, I'm right here!"
