"GABRIEL!" I shout out of panic making everyone turn and look at me.

Suddenly William and Susan come to me crying as I try and comprehend what's happening.

"Kitty, Kitty please take the kids upstairs and put them to bed." Benjamin asks.

"Yes papa." I say.

As I read the kids a bedtime story I couldn't help but think about what happened to Gabriel.

"Are you sleepy yet?" I ask the kids.

"Do not worry for us Kit, Gabriel is more important." Margaret says.

"Your safety is just as important." I say while giving Susan a kiss on her head.

"Please go and take care of Gabriel, we can wait." Nathan says.

"Okay goodnight darlings, I love you."

"I love you too." They responded sleepily.

As soon as I made it downstairs I got worried and more anxious for Gabriel's safety, I couldn't let my little brother die.

"Papa papa." I say while looking down at Gabriel.

"Yes Kitty."

"Gabriel, will he be okay?" I say with tears swelling in my eyes.

"Hopefully."

"Alright."

"Thomas, please go to sleep." My father tells Thomas.

"I wish to stay here father." Thomas replies eagerly.

"Thomas please listen to your father." I say to my little brother.

Thomas sighed in defeat and made his way upstairs.

Just then Gabriel opened his mouth and looked over to me.

"Water, water." Gabriel spoke sickly while my father treated his wounds.

I grabbed the nearest water jug near and knelt on my knees as Gabriel drank.

As my father removed the bullet from his wounded flesh Gabriel screamed in pain and agony which made me want to shrivel up and die from how much pain he was going through.

"Shush it's okay Gabriel." I say kindly while he cried.

"Father?" Gabriel says while turning towards Benjamin.

"Not now Gabriel, you must rest."

"Father there are more soldiers outside, they are much more wounded then I am, you must help them." Gabriel responded making me incredibly proud.

"Gabriel you are wounded." My father replies.

"I will not rest until you have helped them."

"Alright your sister and I will care for the wounded but you must rest."

"You have my word."
