Every time I see a person as quiet as the night sky,
it makes me wonder about all of those things
that could possibly go on
in a mind as beautiful as you.*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚
Wheein struggles to open up her eyes, the redness taking over her vision with the burning sensation in her eyelids. She felt growing pressure being emitted onto her eyes to close them shut, but she continues to fight back. The tiredness had completely taken over, as for some reason her insomnia held its tight arms around her the entire night and kept her awake for the many hours she had tried to fall asleep. She felt as if she barely got any hour of sleep during the duration of the night, and she could only wish that she could just lie back into the comfortable hugging of her blankets. And if she was being honest, she could honestly kill just for a single hour of sleep.
The incoming sun rays that shone through her window somehow made her feel even more colder as she emerged out of the igloo of her comforter, and at this point, Wheein could only convince herself that she was either sick, or if it was suddenly opposite day, because she could feel the goosebumps under the sleeves of her pyjamas dance up and down her skin𑁋she didn't like that feeling at all.
Insomnia sucks. she thinks; it was even painful to think.
That's when reality suddenly hit... in the form of a mild headache as she stood up from her bed, and from the change of gravity, it slapped her in the face pretty hard. However, the pounding in her head makes her sit back down on the sheets as she cringes through the sudden pain. Once it was over𑁋which took a couple of minutes𑁋Wheein opens her eyes to feel a couple of tears sting against her lids. She wipes it away quickly before standing up once again, grabbing her phone and leaving her room to prepare food for herself and her grandmother, who was most likely still sleeping.
She felt as if all of her energy had been drained as she struggled to pick up her own feet to just walk a couple of steps towards the kitchen. She was lucky to live in a one-story home as living in a two-story counterpart would most probably result into a lot of mishaps. The weight on her shoulders had a stronger grip on her, trying to drag her down. And honestly, if she were to pass out at any moment, she wouldn't even stop it.
She doesn't even recall how she had begun with these unusual sleeping patterns𑁋it didn't take her long for her to do her research to self-diagnose and conclude with herself that she had insomnia𑁋even Hyoyeon agreed when she had mentioned it to her. She just... couldn't sleep. She didn't know whether or not because she was overwhelmed with all kinds of weird feelings, emotions, or thoughts, if something was bothering her, or if her head was trying to tell her some kind of message. Either way, it could all be the reasons. And if it was, she felt completely numb to even notice them. She has been used to the fact that would practically be swarmed with all kinds of feelings that she just chose to let them in and take over her.
As Wheein arrives in the quiet kitchen𑁋the only sound coming from her breathing, walking, and the drops of water from the sink𑁋she grabs two pieces of bananas in the fruit basket on the counter, peeling them open and placing it on a cutting board. Then, she latches onto two clean, empty bowls, placing them side-by-side together, then she heads towards the small pantry of the kitchen to search for a box of oats. Once she finds it, she emerges out with a long yawn as she pours some inside of the bowls before placing it to the side.
