i never noticed how SILENCE plays such an important role in the story - it should just be a whole other character at this point
it plays a more important role than the antagonists that i constantly forget exists lmfao
this chapter is just jasdkajsdklasjd but enjoy it :-)

'How do you know?'
That's the thing,
you don't know.
But whenever a thought of them
comes to mind,
that's how you know.*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚
Hyejin presses her back against the front door, legs folded together on the concrete with arms crossed as she watches amusedly at Wheein, who was sitting not that far away from her with a small bowl of milk in her hands. The small girl was seemingly trying lure a stray cat slowly towards her with the milk, Hyejin spotting a white cat with orange-brown spots mindlessly wandering in their direction. Wheein somehow seemed to know the cat, eyes lighting up as the cat continued getting closer and closer.
And once the cat arrived, Wheein quietly claps victoriously before running a hand through the cat's fur. The cat only dips its head down into the bowl of milk, lapping it up hungrily. However Hyejin could only solely focus on Wheein, seeing the girl's familiar dimpled smile pop up on her face that makes her chest throb.
Happiness looks good on you, Angel.
Once the cat was finished with its round, Wheein scoops the cat up in her arms, a low meow leaving the animal's mouth. Hyejin couldn't tell whether it was a cringe or a pout that was beginning to form on her face as she continued to observe. Seeing how affectionate Wheein was getting with the cat makes her gaze lower down, an audible sigh escaping her lips. Looking up towards the dim sky, she tries to dismiss those unwelcomed thoughts.
Wheein hears the sigh, turning around curiously with the cat still settled in her arms and seeing Hyejin's posture lean back. Tilting her head slightly, she tries to distinguish the expression on the younger girl's face𑁋the subtle sign of sadness in her eyes, lips hidden away, and legs crossed together. Wheein glances back down at Ggomo in her arms and back towards Hyejin, an idea popping up in her head before finding herself slowly scooting in the direction of the girl. She places herself next to Hyejin, facing towards the young girl and nudging her arm softly to get her attention.
Hyejin looks back towards the small girl, a short-lasting smile on her face; Wheein could only hope she wasn't annoyed of her or anything like that, judging from her body language.
"What is it, Angel?" Hyejin asks, her voice suddenly turning into a calming tone. However once she catches a glimpse of the cat in the girl's arms, she immediately backs away in a flash.
Wheein's cheeks flush brightly at the sight𑁋does Ggomo scare Hyejin? However once she glances back up at Hyejin, a small frown forms on her face. Hyejin looked as if she was trying to hold something in her system, breathing turning unsteady and shaky.
Ggomo suddenly releases himself from Wheein's arms, jumping back in the direction to lap up the remains of the bowl of milk next to her. The action of the cat doesn't seem to affect Wheein in any way, who was still looking up at Hyejin with eyes filled of worry. It takes a few moments for both girls to lock gazes with each other, making Wheein feel the heat sprout back into her cheeks, and Hyejin cautiously scoot her way back next to her.
