I woke up due to too the front door being busted down I jump up and check the time. It's 4 in the morning, I wait in bed to see who it was when someone opens my door aggressively. I flinch and they turn on the light.

" oh paisley," he said. It was josh

" get away from me " I yell getting out of bed

" you can't run this time," he said running towards me and grabbing my arm

" HELP " I yell

He pins me on the bed and ties my feet and arms together along with duck taping my mouth. I start crying and mumbling through the tape

Then, I woke up

I sit up heavily breathing looking around my room in fear that josh would be there next to me. But he wasn't. It was just a nightmare. I couldn't go back to sleep even after getting water so I decided to call someone to come over because I didn't feel safe.

I called someone who I haven't talked to since the awkward situation yesterday, Ethan.

- phone rings -

" hey? " Ethan says

" hey e uh can u like come over, I had a nightmare and- " I start until he cuts me off

" Why don't u call Grayson he'll be up in like an hour anyway," Ethan says half asleep

" well- " I say until I hear Ethan open a door

" Hey dumbass- " Ethan says to Grayson before muting the call

" ethan no its fine, I'll be fine- " I start

" He'll be over in 10," Ethan says before hanging up.

ugh, what have I gotten myself into?

about 10 minutes later I hear my bedroom door open. I flinch because of the nightmare I had but it was just Grayson

" Jesus fuck Grayson you scared me " I say to him

" oh sorry, your front door is always open so I just decided to come in, " He says. I stay quiet.

" so what did you have to wake me an hour up before my alarm for? " He says laying on my bed next to me

" uh well I just had this stupid dream and I don't know, I told Ethan you didn't need to come if you didn't want to but I assume he didn't tell you that part? " I say looking over towards him

" Nah, but what do you mean by a dream ? " he asks

" nightmare " I say quietly embarrassed.

" about," He asks sitting up

" uhm just like what happened when I first moved here, " I say looking down at my hands 

" you mean josh? " He asks looking at me

" mhm, but it's fine I just don't really like being in this big house alone. I just want to know where my parents are. '' I say quietly

" what do you mean? did they leave? " Grayson asked

" my stepmom left a few days ago and never came back and my dad's in the hospital and I don't know why. My stepmom knows but won't tell me. she also took the car so I can't go anywhere and I cant uber because she didn't leave money. " I say sitting back in my bed.

" you know you can always stay with me and Ethan right? " He asks

" yeah but I don't want to be a disturbance- " I start

" you won't I promise, you stayed with us for a few days too remember? " Grayson asked.

" I guess, " I say with a sad tone.

" hey " Grayson asked sitting close in front of me

" hmm? " I say looking up at him

" can I ask you a question? "
