After a rough night for the vampires, the King was already sitting on his throne even before the break of dawn. Quite frankly he was not only worried about his sons, but also their soulmates. He knew better than most how dangerous last night must be for the soulmates also.
It was Monday but he didn't wake his sons up. To celebrate the Super Blue Blood Moon, he already declared last night that today would be a holiday. This was to allow vampires to rest up and humans to enjoy themselves after a possibly frightening night.
As soon as the sunlight poured inside the throne room, four groups of beings teleported inside the throne room. As a precautionary measure, the King activated his power, Power Negation, and prevented any other powers to be triggered in the area.
"Relax, your majesty. It's just us," Xiumin, the eldest of the bunch and a member of ERI, stated.
"Oh, it's just you, guys," the King deactivated his power. "Why is everyone here so early?"
"Well, we were worried about Prince Seungcheol. We are feeling guilty because we didn't really fully decipher the prophecy," Minhyun, both a member of WANNABLE and a Mystic, mentioned.
"We sincerely apologized for our incompetence," JR, leader of the Mystics, initiated the apology; the rest of NU'EST bowed.
"It's alright. I know you did your best. It's just that this certain prophecy was a tough one to crack," the King fully understood the situation.
"So, how is Prince Seungcheol?" Namjoon, leader of ARMY, asked.
"Well, why don't you stay for breakfast to find out?" the King offered. "I am quite nervous as well that is why I woke up early."
"Yes! Free breakfast!" Jungkook, Sehun, Kuanlin and Minki, who are the respective maknaes of their group, exclaimed.
"Please tell the kitchen staff to prepare enough food for everyone, including our guests," the King told a palace helper.
With four tables arranged in a square formation placed in the middle of the throne room, the King, the Royal Defense Force and the Mystics all waited for the Princes to show up.
"How was the kingdom last night? Any casualties?" the King asked.
"Our headquarters received reports of two unfortunate humans falling victim to Barbarians last night," Namjoon reported.
"Our headquarters received calls about four other victims throughout the whole night," Junmyeon delivered the sad news.
"Regretfully, our headquarters did receive similar reports. We have recorded three other victims last night," Jisung, the leader of WANNABLE and not the Princes' classmate, told the King.
"Very well. I will send my sincerest condolences to the affected families," the Kings sighed.
"By the way, are the Princes already coming?" Kris questioned.
"Let's just wait for a little longer. If they don't show up, I will have the palace helpers wake them up," the King claimed.
Well, the wait did not last long. Shortly after the conversation about last night's tragedies, Vernon and Seungkwan showed up in the dining area.
"Good morning, everyone," Vernon greeted although he was slightly surprised by the number of people present.
"Why are there so many people, Vernonie?" Seungkwan whispered.
"It's okay, Kwannie. They are very special guests," Vernon led his soulmate to a vacant seat and sat beside him.
After Vernon and Seungkwan came Seokmin and Chan. Same with the pair before them, the two were shocked on the presence of a crowd in the throne room.
