Welcome to hogwarts

Task 2

I had figured out the task three weeks ago and Harry did too, but he panicked at the last second so I'm doing this one on my own. I convinced Neville to give me his gillyweed and he did, but now I owe him a devil's snare plant. I've seen the twins and the trio but I haven't seen Ginny all morning and I started to freak out but Neville assured me as we got into the boats that she was probably with Bill and Charlie.

"Don't swallow it until right before you get in the water" Neville tells me as we climb onto the platform with the other victors.

"How long does it last?" I ask

"It should last you an hour" Neville says quietly.

Fred comes up behind me and scares me with George right behind him.

"Hey, Have you seen Ginny?" I ask him

"No, we thought she was with you" George says

I look out towards the water.

"You don't think she's-" I start

"She might. Dumbledore did take the thing each victor cares about most" George says

"Well then he should've taken Fred" I say as Dumbledore comes around with the rest of the victors.

We all stand in a circle and Dumbledore tells us we have only an hour to find what he's hidden below the surface. He tells us to take our places on the marks.

I take off my sweater and hand it to Finnigan who agreed with Dean Thomas to help with this task. I give Fred a quick kiss before I put the Gillyweed in my mouth and stand on my mark.

"Swallow it now" Neville whispers in my ear as the cannon goes off

I swallow and jump into the water, swimming towards the weeds looking for the merpeople. I see Cedric and Victor swimming above me. As I swim further through the weeds I hear commotion behind me, I turn around and see nothing so I continue forward. When I get out of the weeds I see four people tied to the lake bottom. I swim closer and see that of the four people, Ginny and Hermione are there. I assumed that Viktors prised possession was Hermione and I was right because Viktor came up next to me with a shark head and chewed through the vine around he foot, and pulled her away, Cedric wasn't to far behind him. Cho Chang was Cedric's girlfriend so obviously he would save her. I looked around for fleur but she wasn't anywhere around, So I made a choice that would put in last for sure. I grabbed my wand and sent a bolt of fire through the vine releasing the miniature version of Fleur. I grab Ginny's arm and pull her towards Fleur's sister. As I swim up towards the surface I see a swarm of Grindylows coming after me and I panic. Neville said the Gillyweed would last an hour but it's wearing off and I'm running out of air. I feel something wrap around my ankle and pull me down. I panic and push Ginny and The little blonde girl up towards the surface, I grab my wand and point it at the grindylows

"Stupify" I say with water in my mouth

The small fish like creatures go flying backwards and I swim towards the surface as fast as I can, I reach the surface and gasp for air. I see Ginny and The girl swimming towards the platform so I swim after them. Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas help me and Ginny up and hand us towels to warm us up.

"You alright?" Dean asks Throwing my sweater into my arms

"Just really cold" I answer putting it on

Ginny wraps her arms around me and we both start laughing.

"Libby you did it" Hermione says jumping into a hug

"I came in last Hermione" I tell

"Second to last. Fleur never made it past the Grindylows" She corrects

"ATTENTION" Dumbledore yells

We all quiet down and look at him, waiting for him to tell us who won.

"The winner of the second task is Cedric Diggory" Dumbledore announces

"Yeah Cedric" Everyone cheers.

All the Gryffindors and Slytherin clap. But dumbledore clears his throat and speaks again

"But due to Ms Potters determination to save others, we are awarding the Potter team second place" Dumbledore says

Everyone cheers and I go to congratulate Cedric when one of his stupid Hufflepuff friends pushes us into the water.

"You are so dead Adam" Cedric screams at him

I climb up the ladder and onto the platform, waiting for Cedric behind me. I see him dripping wet and glaring at his friend.

"Allow me" I say before changing into a dog and shaking all the water off.

I shake all the water onto the Hufflepuff boy before jumping up and knocking him down, rubbing the wet dog smell into his clothes. I see Cedric standing there laughing his head off. I change back and stand over the Hufflepuff boy smiling. Cedric helps him up and waves a hand in front of his nose

"Thanks for that I smell like wet dog now" The boy says glaring at me

I growl a little and he backs up. I can hear everyone laughing at us.

"Cedric, I have to go" I say trying to walk away

"How come?" He asks

"Well because I need to spend as much time with Fred as I can. And because I have to start figuring out what I'm doing the night of the yule ball" I say

"Your not going?" Cedric and his Hufflepuff friend ask at the same time

"I wasn't asked. But I have made a few dresses for a few of your friends, Like Hannah, Susan and Tamsin" I say

"Your not going but your making girls dresses?" Cedric asks

"I do robes too, Tell your friends" I say before walking towards the trio and the twins, who are talking to Fleur.

"Issy, There you are" Fred says

"Hey Fleur" I say smiling

Fleur pulls me into a hug and thanks me for saving her sister.

"Gabrielle wasn't your to save but you did thank you" She says with her think french accent

"Of course" I say before they walk away.

I yawn and rest my head against Freds chest.
