"You will still have permission to be in the Gryffindor common room if you need a break, Ms Potter" Mcgonagall says
"Thank you Professor" I say
"Go say your goodbyes" Dumbledore says
Fred, George, Malfoy and I walk to the stairwell
"Wait for me in the Great Hall. I won't be long" I tell Malfoy before following Fred and George.
We wait at the portrait for the lady and she looks at me sadly.
"Hurry darling" She tells me
We go in and Everyone is sitting in the common room. I mean everyone, even the older kids.
"Is it true then? You're in Slytherin now?" Seamus Finnigan asks
"Yeah, I got resorted and put in slytherin" I answer
"Why?" Dean Thomas asks
"Because I'm tired of living in Harry's shadow. Everyone in here has started a conversation with me with 'Hey Harry's sister'. I have a name and I'm a person. Wood offered me a chance to play quidditch and I said no because I knew I wouldn't have a real position, I'd be playing in Harry's shadow again. So, Maybe this is for the best. I'll have a chance to be my own person. Mcgonagall said I can come back and Hangout when I need to so this isn't a goodbye, it's more of a see you around" I tell everyone. "I'm still me, I'm just in slytherin now"
Ginny gets up and gives me a hug
"You're still coming to christmas right?" she whispers in my ear
"Of course. Fred will explain later" I answer
She pulls away and I go up to the girls dormitory and get my things. I'm so focused on packing my things that I don't hear anyone come in
"Dad asked me to give you this" Fred says from behind me
I jump and turn around
"You scared me. What is it?" I ask
"It's from Sirius" Fred tells me holding up a long slim wrapped box
He puts it on the bed and I keep throwing my stuff into my trunk. Fred waits patiently for me to finish so he can see what it is. I open it and see a new broom, the firebolt broom to be exact
"What? When, How?" Fred asks.
"It's a tradition in my family. Every Potter gets a new broom their third year at Hogwarts as a sign of freedom and good will. Harry won't get his till the end of the year. Sirius has to lay low for a while, he gave me mine because He knew what I was planning to do. I don't know how, but he knew" I explained.
I put my trunk on it's side and pull it with me, carrying my broom. I walk downstairs and everyone is still there waiting for me.
"I have to go but I'll see you all in class" I say before walking out of the common room.
I walk down the stairs and professor snape stops me taking my trunk and broom.
"You want to play quidditch?" Snape asks as we walk
"Yes Professor. I'm very good with the snitch" I tell him.
"Run along. Your broom will be in my office until the first game" He says.
I run to the Great Hall and find Pansy all over Malfoy. So I walk in and Wrap my arms around his neck and kiss his cheek.
"What was that for?" He asks when Pansy moves to the other side of Crabbe
"Snape is letting me play quidditch. And because it was your idea for me to switch houses" I say
