The one with the quidditch house cup

I I open my eyes to see Blaise and Pansy staring down at me

"Um, good morning" I say

"Get ready for practice, we've got an hour" Blaise says

I get up and brush my teeth before running out of the room, down the stairs, out of the common room and out of the castle towards the quidditch pitch. Cassius sees me and he walks over.

"Go change we'll need our captain for this part" He says

I run into the locker room and change into my uniform. I fix my hair quickly and run back out to the field with my broom. Everyone flies down and stands there waiting for instructions, I am too. Cassius looks at me waiting for me to say something.

"Um, lets start with the play, check for flaws and we'll see how it goes. Up in the air" I say mounting my broom and flying up above everyone else to watch.

After about four run throughs of the play I call it and everyone flies down.

"Go eat something and I'll see you back here in an hour for the game" I say smiling

Everyone walks towards the castle in their robes and I follow behind them with Cassius by my side

"You did good today" I tell him

"Only because I have a good captain" he tells me

"We're co-captains Cass, I only do this alone if I really have to" I tell him as we reach the great hall.

"See you in a bit" He says before walking towards our table.

I see everyone at the Gryffindor table so I go sit down next to Fred.

"And How are you on this fine morning?" I ask stealing a piece of toast

"Bored" Hermione says

"Hungry" Ron says stuffing a bite of waffle in his mouth

"Concerned" Harry says seriously

"What are you concerned about?" I ask

He turns around and looks at Cedric.

"Diggory? Your worried about Diggory?" I ask

Harry looks at me and frowns.

"I think he might try something that could hurt you" Harry says

I roll my eyes and pour myself a glass of water and take a sip.

"Look, if your worried come to the game and keep an eye on him. Ron are you going to dance with me tonight?" I ask

"What do you mean?" He responds

"I mean the champions have to dance to start the ball and I need to know if you'll do it or if I have to ask Fred" I say

"Fred can do it" Ron says

I smile and look at the twins.

"Well then I guess I'll see you lot at the game then" I say getting up and going to the Slytherin table.

Draco wraps his arm around my neck and ruffles my hair, messing up my ponytail. Blaise laughs as Pansy punches Draco in the arm.

"So who are you lot going to the ball with?" I ask

"Draco agreed to take me" Pansy says

"Blaise and I are going with girls from Bauxbatons. What about you?" Goyle asks

"Weaslebee and I are going together, but i'm doing the opening dance with Fred" I answer

"SO you do have a dress then" Pansy says

"Yeah, Slytherin themed. Its gorgeous" I say checking my watch

Dumbledore stands up and walks to the podium and everyone quits talking.

"Today is not only the yule ball but it is also the Quidditch house cup

Everyone yells and claps

"Quidditch captains please lead your teams down to the field for a final practice, And may the best team win" Dumbledore says

I get up and wave down to Cassius signaling to get the others and go.

"Slytherin's going to loose" A hufflepuff yells

"Yeah, we'll see about that" I say before walking out with my team.

We get outside the castle and Cassius starts asking questions

"Cassius, calm down. Just pretend this is a regular game, alright have fun" I say as we reach the slytherin pitch entrance.

I draw up the play and we go over it one more time before we hear cheers from the stands.

"Who's turn is it to give a pep talk?" Blaise asks

"Libby's" Everyone says

"To quote Rocky Balboa. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. And boys are we going to win. Go out there and we do our best no matter what happens out there" I say

"Let's go Slytherin" Cassius yells

We all cheer and grab our brooms. We stand at the opening and wait for the doors to open.

"Who's Rocky Balboa?" Cassius whispers to me

"He's a boxer in a muggle movie" I answer as the doors open. 

We all mount our brooms and fly out to the middle of the field and listen to Madame Hooch's speech.

I make eye contact with Cassius and give him a nod as Pomfry throws the balls into the air and releases the snitch.

I watch carefully as the snitch flies around the field before disappearing. I watch as Cassius throws the quaffle to Blaise and he scores for the third time so far. I see Cedric looking around for the snitch but he doesn't see it.

"And slytherin seeker Watches her team dominate the game from above, With three hundred points ahead of Hufflepuff, Elissabeth Potter zooms after the snitch neck and neck with Hufflepuff seeker Cedric Diggory" I hear Lee Jordan say into the microphone

I see a flash of gold in front of me and I reach out to grab it before Cedric does. I fly after it with Diggory right behind me and I'm about to crash into the ground when I feel a cold metal in my fingers. I hit the ground and roll over onto my stomach. I lay there for a second before sitting up and opening my hands to see the snitch flutter shut.

"Ladies and Gentleman, Slytherin seeker Elissabeth Potter has caught the snitch. Slytherin wins five hundred and fifty to two hundred. Slytherin has won the house cup, I can't believe it" Lee says before McGonagall scolds him.

Madam Hooch comes out with the quidditch house cup for the year in her hands and she holds it out to me smiling.

"Congratulations ms Potter" She tells me.

I smile and take the cup before turning around to face my team and screaming with excitement. They all start cheering and yelling. I hand the cup to Cassius and he walks into the locker room with it while I wait to congratulate Cedric.

"You did good Diggory. It was fun" I say shaking his hand

"Yes it was" He says smiling.

He walks away and I see Fred and George running down the stairs, with Bill and Charlie behind them. I jump into fred's arms and he spins me around.

"That was Bloody Brilliant" He says

"Thank you, I have to go start getting ready with the girls, I'll see you at the ball" I tell him before running into the locker room to change.
