"What do you mean?" Troy's voice cracks.
Pain shoots across Jordan's face.
I don't even know what to think.
She's not dead. Tory isn't dead.
I can't imagine how Troy must be feeling. Looking over at him, his face is drained from happiness, it seems like he is a ghost.
I rush over to him and hug him tightly.
Tears threaten to pour out of my eyes.
I hold him with every once of strength I have.
"Let's go into the living room." Jordan says quietly.
Without any sounds, we make are way into the living room.
Troy is frozen. I try to move him into the living room the best I can.
Finally I manage to get him to sit down on one of the couch.
We are opposite of Jordan. Troy laces his hand with mine, squeezing my hand as hard as he can. I don't mind.
We are silent for what seems like months, yet it's only been seconds.
Jordan sighs and look up from her shaking hands.
"I know your father and I should have told you sooner," she says, "Tory i-isn't dead."
My heart swells.
My mind is blank.
"What-what do you mean she isn't dead?" Troy's voice rises.
"Please don't get mad, let me explain," Jordan pauses to look at Troy, "She was sick. Although she did get better. We couldn't tell you. She didn't have cancer. Tory was very very depressed and she tried to kill herself, that caused her to be in the hospital. Once she got better, she was embarrassed to face you. I'm sorry we never told you."
"Where is she?" Troy asked instantly.
"Honey-"
"Where is she!" Troy shouts.
"Your father and I decided to send her to relatives in Maine. We still keep in touch with her." Jordan explained.
Troy is crying.
"I can't believe you never told me! Mom I became depressed. Do you know how much pain you caused me? We moved because I couldn't stand the house that Tory used to live in!" Troy screamed.
"And what about that gravestone? You made a fake one! You kept this lie from me. How could you?" He continued.
Jordan is speechless.
Troy runs out of the room and runs up the stairs.
Seconds later, I hear his door slam.
I rise from the couch.
"Carolina." Jordan says.
"Yes?" I ask.
"Please help him." She says with tears in her eyes.
A lump forms in my throat, causing me to only nod.
Running up the stairs, I start to cry. Not sad tears, happy tears. Happy tears because she's alive.
I try to open the door but it's locked.
"Troy!" I yell and pound on to the door.
He opens it.
I walk in and find him on the ground sobbing. He is holding a picture of Tory and him swimming.
I kneel beside him.
"Troy." I say softly.
"I can't believe it. All these years I thought she was dead, when she is alive." He sobs.
I pull him close to me and hug him tightly.
That's all I'm good at. I'm horrible at saying things, all I could is hug him and listen.
"You could always get her number from your parents. You deserve that." I say.
He only nods.
"I can't even think about my parents right now. They've caused me to much pain." His voice cracks.
"They only did it out of love." I try to convince him.
"I'll try to believe that." He says and gets up.
"Wherer are you going?" I question.
"I need her number." He says and walk down stairs.
I stay in his room and wait for him.
Seconds later I hear him run up the stairs and crashes into the room.
He quickly logs into his computer. Troy types as fast as he could and goes onto Skype.
Typing, I watch him type a user-name onto the search bar.
Once he has it in, he clicked video chat.
He's shaking.
I sit beside him and silently pray that she answers.
It rings
and
rings
until it said connecting.
Troy is shaking hard.
I hug him.
His heart pounds out of his rib cage.
A beautiful girl face pops onto the screen. She has Troy's eyes.
She gasps.
"Troy!" She cries.
He puts his hand over his month with tears streaming down his face.
"Tory!" He replies.
They just look at each other. I can not even think.
"I miss you more than anything." Troy says.
"Same to you brother. Listen I know this is all new to you and I'm so sorry for all of this. But to add something to it, I'm moving back." She says.
Troy is shocked.
She will be here in a few days
I watch them talk for hours. They talked about anything about everything.
Tory then had to go. They said their goodbyes and good nights.
"Before you go, I'd like you to meet my girlfriend, Carolina." He moves the screen over towards me.
I wave and say hi.
We talk a little bit and then say goodbye.
"Carolina?" Troy asked.
"Yes?" I return.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
