Oh how I hate school.

Even though Troy tries to keep me away from Bea, there is still school.

Every-time we pass or get with one hundred feet, he wraps his arm around my waist and stays in front of me, protecting me.

I think that Bea is rather afraid of Troy. Her face is all black and blue, but she tries to cover it with powder. That doesn't work. It actually makes it worse.

Troy and I make jokes about her and laugh at her every time we see her.

"She will never hurt you again," Troy says to me as we make our way to seventh period.

"I know because I have the best boyfriend." I say with a smile.

We walk into world history and sit beside each other.

The teacher pretty fun.

Once class started, we had to work with our partners, mine being Troy's.

Troy and I were discussing World War Two.

The teacher came up to us.

"You two are wanted in the principals office." She said quietly.

Why the principals?

Troy and I walk down silently to the office.

Once we make it there, we are directed to the principals office.

The principal is pretty cool. She is young.

Once we open the door, I'm greeted by my mom, Bea, and Jordan.

I gulp.

I sit down in the empty chair by Jordan.

Keeping my head done, I try not to make eye contact with my mom.

"Do you know why you're here, Troy and Carolina?" Our principal asked.

We both shake our heads no.

"Well there seems to be a problem. Carolina," she says, "your mother says that you haven't been at house in days."

I clear my throat.

"I c-can explain." I stutter.

"Then please explain." She said.

I look up at my mom and Bea. They are giving me the 'death glare'.

It's time for me to be open.

I take a deep breath.

"Well, I've been staying at Troy's and Jordan's house," I say, "The reason behind this is-is,"

I stop.

you can do this, I remind myself.

"My mother and sister abuse me." I say.

My mom is shock, Bea's mouth is open, and Troy looks proud.

"What?" The principal hissed.

"T-they've hit me and punched me, I have proof. Troy and Jordan are more like my family than them." I say.

"If it's not a bother, could I see the proof? If you are not comfortable, I understand." The principal commented.

I nod.

So I show her my stomach, from the other day, bruises that haven't gone away in months, and months.

The whole time Bea looked like she wanted to rip my apart.

"Well I'm afraid that I'm going to have to call the police. Carolina, you will be able to stay with Troy and his family." She commented.

Relief fills me.

I turn around and am greeted by Bea.

She swings her fist and punches me.

I scream in pain.

Falling down, Troy catches me.

My vision becomes blurry.

"Carolina!" Troy screams.

I've lost my voice.

When did Bea become so strong?

I can't see anything.
