Shout out to @Ace1577 for commenting on the reference in the previous chapter. Anshul said "we are leaving!" witch is a reference to call of duty 4: modern warfare! Great job on getting the reference buddy ^^ fun fact, I've gotten all achievements on the remastered version :)
Clyde's POV
"w-we made it." I said out loud.
"*pant* *pant*" anshul was panting a lot.
mira didn't say anything.
Amber was very tired.
I looked up at the other side of the canyon.
They were all there.
The swampert and his minions.
I stood up.
"you'll never get us now!!!"
"ya bunch of slowpokes!!!!" I yelled out while smirking.
They turned around and walked away.
"hahaha!!!" I laughed at them.
I then saw the blizzard.
"wow, that is still going on?!" I said, amazed by how the blizzard was still going on in the area.
"we *pant* have a *pant* problem!" anshul said, still trying to get his breathing under control.
"what's that?" I asked in a confused tone.
"it's *pant* midnight"
"ghost types *pant* are roaming *pant* around now!" anshul explained.
"well, it's way past midnight"
"but I understand your concern"
"we're all tired. Amber is wounded and I don't know this forest." I said to the flareon.
...
"we need *pant* shelter"
"we can't risk *pant* getting spotted by *pant* the ghost types!" anshul said.
"yea, we need to move carefully!" I stated.
Anshul padded toward amber.
"amber? how are your wounds?" he asked in a concerned voice.
"they......hurt..." amber said weakly.
Anshul inspected the wounds she had.
"owwww, that doesn't look good!" anshul said, looking at the bite mark in amber's neck.
"what's wrong?" I asked in a really worried tone.
"she lost a lot of blood"
"the wound looks infected!" anshul said.
"it w-was a g-golisopod." Mira stated, also very tired.
"the same one that poisoned me!" I added.
"hmmm, I need water, a river will do"
"big leaves to patch up the wound"
"I already have berries, but more wouldn't hurt." Anshul said, listing off everything he needed to help amber.
"well, I could use water gun to clean the wound." I suggested.
"that'll work, nicely!" anshul said.
"wait! I brought some bandages with me!" anshul realized.
He removed his leaf bag from his shoulder.
