Third Person POV

1 AM at night

Blake stayed up all night to keep watch over everymon, especially the Absol.

He also kept an eye on the cave entrance.

His eyes were closed, and his ears were raised.

It allowed him to focus more on the sounds that were happening around him.

Beside the midnight breeze that traveled through the trees and bushes, there weren't a lot of noises.

Every now and then, a Noctowl would hoot at the night sky.

To Blake, this was calming to him.

The night made him feel at peace.

...

Sometimes though...Blake would hear soft pawsteps outside the cave.

The campfire went out some time ago, so no light came from within the cave.

It didn't matter though, since Blake always heard the pawsteps become softer.

This confirmed the mon was padding away.

Blake always listened out for the pawsteps.

If they suddenly stopped, it would mean whoever it was, saw the cave.

Blake always stayed calm however.

He knew, that the dark types that were hunting him, were always in groups.

Only if he heard multiple sets of pawsteps, he'd become very alert.

This night was going to be a very peaceful one...or so Blake thought.

After a long time of silence, Blake's cylinder ears caught the sound of something else than just the wind.

The sound Blake heard, came from within the cave.

Blake his eyes opened, and he looked to his right.

The Absol began to wake up.

Blake hid in the shadows of the cave.

He wondered what the Absol was going to do.

The Absol slowly raised its head, and looked around the cave.

It had a nervous look in its eyes.

Blake saw the look it had in its eyes.

"...what's its plan..." Blake wondered in his head.

He would interfere with the Absol, if it would do something sudden.

The Absol had its head raised in the air, with its horn pointed toward the cave entrance.

Blake noticed this.

He wondered what it was going to do.

It had its eyes closed, as if it was listening out for something.

Then, the Absol opened its eyes, and looked rather worried.

The wounded dark type got to its paws slowly.

Blake was ready for anything it would try.

To his surprise, the Absol looked back to the group, and said something.

"...t-thank you..." the Absol said, before limping out of the cave.

Blake heard what it said.

"...what is it going to do...its wounds are still healing...why would it leave..." Blake wondered.
