There were pawsteps above our den, I heard them very faintly.
My sister became scared once she heard them.

"...shhh..."
I listened more closely.
"...that's them..."
"...the flareon's, friends..."
"...he's with, them..."
"w-what a-are they d-doing o-over here?" my sister asked in a scared voice.
...
"...don't, know..."
"...they have, never, been here..."
"b-but, w-why a-are t-they h-here now?" she asked.

"...I don't, know, sis..."
"...I'll, have to, follow them, to, find out..."
My sister then pawed my paw.

"...sis, this is, important..."
"...I'll, return, as soon, as possible..."
She then threw me back on the leaf bed.
She began to lick my cheek over and over.

"...sis..."
"please don't go, i-it's a f-full m-moon t-today." She said in a really scared voice.

"...sis, I couldn't, care less, about, that moon..."
"...when I, know where, they are, going..."
"...I'll return, as soon, as possible..."
She lessen her grip and held up her paw.
"p-p-promise!" my sister called out.

I placed my paw against my sister's paw.

"...I, promise..."
"...as, soon as, I know, where they, are going..."
My sister looked scared, but nodded.
I licked her on the nose.
She giggled softly.

"...I'll, be back, before, the moon, stands high..."
My sister was still worried.
I softened my gaze.

My sister nudged me once and licked my cheek.
"please, be careful." My sister said.

"...I will..."
I gave one final lick on top of her head and padded toward the den entrance.

I left the den and began following the flareon's scent.
