The ravenette stares out at the black night, his grip tightening on the icy railing. It pierced his skin like pins and needles and did little to control his racing heart, leaving a dull ache in his chest.
His breaths came out in short, crystallized puffs, the white air pushing past his parted lips. There was still a distant smell of bleach that reached his nose, a reminder of cleaning up the mess from earlier. It made his lips curl into a deranged smile and a sparkle to present itself in those dark eyes of his.
The distant beeping of a truck caught his ears, his iron grip relaxing as he pries his fingers from the balcony railing. He turns his back to the stars and slides open the back door before shutting it tight behind him, crossing his bedroom to the window to peer curiously at the source of sound.
The moving truck backed into the house opposite of him, and he noticed another car in the driveway beside it. He could make out two figures, one male and female. The girl's face was covered by a hood, and he squinted in suspicion.
It was strange. The new neighbor didn't look much older than himself, and there were no parents with them.
Jungkook tskd and was about to move away before the girl turned, the bottom half of her face lit by the moon despite her cloaked eyes. His face moved closer, purely out of curiosity, hot breath fanning against the glass as he tried to study her features.
"Who are you?" he whispers, staying put in his spot as the raven observed his new neighbors.
