"You're my everything. I want to protect your days and nights." ~ My Everything [NCT U]

Rosie awakened from soft kisses being placed along her neck, the lips of her lover tickling her skin. She tried to roll away from him but he stopped her, pinning her hips down as he chuckled against her lips.

"Good morning," he murmurs, pulling away slightly to meet her eyes.

"Morning," she mumbles, looking up at him with tired eyes.

"I ran you a bath," the ravenette informs, a proud smile on his face.

Rosie smiles, leaning up to kiss him again before thanking him quietly. She sat up slowly and winced at the pain tearing through her body, causing her forehead to land against Jungkook's shoulder as she groaned.

Jungkook grins, scooping her up in his arms and taking her to the prepared bath. He sat her down gently and gave her another kiss as she tied her hair up, and then he left her alone as he went down to the main floor to grab fresh sheets for their bed.

He felt giddy as he rode the elevator. He was together again with the love of his life, they just had mind blowing sex, and now he was here with her in Paris. What more could he want?

"Excuse me," Jungkook smiles, catching the receptionist's attention. "Do you have an extra set of sheets? My girlfriend spilled juice on it by accident."

"Oh, sure!" the woman laughs, standing up. "I'll just be a moment."

A sudden call of his name had him flinching and reaching to his waistband instinctively, where his gun would be if it weren't back in the room. Thankfully, it was no one who would cause harm.

"Jesus, Taehyung!" he snaps, placing a hand on his heart like it would slow it down.

"Sorry," the elder says, his tone full of amusement. His eyes scanned down Jungkook's body to take in the white sleep shirt and blue checkered pajama pants. "What're you wearing? We're supposed to leave in an hour."

"Shit," Jungkook curses, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"You forgot," Taehyung deadpans.

"Didn't," Jungkook counters, grabbing the fresh set of sheets from the receptionists before turning back to him. "Totally didn't. We'll meet you there."

"Okay," Taehyung nodded before he raised an eyebrow. "What's with the sheets?"

"Spilt a drink on it," Jungkook answers, waving his hand dismissively as he hurries to walk away.

The ravenette blew out his cheeks in a relieved sigh once he was in the privacy of his hotel room again. He set to work on remaking the bed and was just smoothing out the wrinkles on the comforter when the bathroom door opened.

"Hey, you," he grins as he walks towards her, placing a hand on her hip.

"Hi," she whispers, smoothing her hands over his pecs as she looks up at him.

He watches her as her eyes fall to his neck, where small bruises lay on his skin. They were faint now, as they were healing with every passing day, but the sight of them just made her think about that awful moment with Kwang.

"Hey," he says softly, cupping the side of her face as tears build in her eyes. "Baby, I'm okay."

Rosie shakes her head, and a small whimper escapes as his hand places itself on the back of her head and guides her into his chest.

"It doesn't even hurt," he says quietly.

"Are we safe now?" she asks, a slight tremble to her voice. "I-is he gonna leave us alone now?"

"He's not even a threat to us anymore," he says, careful in choosing his words. He doesn't know how she would react if he told her how much blood was shed that day, but he knew they would need to talk about it eventually.

But that time would have to wait.

"One more!" Rosie beams, holding her phone out.

Both boys groaned, but one glare from Rosie and Jungkook was making a peace sign and smiling. Her brother quickly followed, and another picture was taken.

Rosie was adamant on taking pictures of everything. It's not every day you wind up in Paris, and she wanted to preserve as many memories as she could.

They had spent the whole day sightseeing and eating in restaurants with the most amazing food. It was an incredible trip that none of them would ever forget, which is why they were so sad that their days in Paris were quickly coming to an end.

"Let's not go back," Rosie sighs, her lips brushing against his collarbone.

Jungkook throws his head back and laughs. They were currently in the hot tub, alone as it was late at night. His arms were resting on the outside of the tub and he was sitting on the underwater bench, with his girl sitting right on top of him.

"Was Paris as great as you thought it would be?" he asks.

"It was even better," she smiles, sitting up to look at him.

Jungkook smiles, grabbing her hand underwater and interlocking their fingers.

"Do you want to talk about it now?" he asks, almost hesitantly.

Rosie pauses for a few seconds before shaking her head.

"I think... I think I don't want to know," she says quietly, threaded her fingers through the hair on the nape of his neck. "I mean, I do know, but to hear you say it... I don't know if I can handle it."

Jungkook frowns as her voice breaks at the end, indulging her in a slow and soft kiss until he feels her relax.

"She didn't suffer," he whispers. "It was quick and over with. That's all I'll say."

Rosie swallows the lump in her throat and nods, hiding her face away in the safety of his neck. She couldn't help the tears that formed in her eyes, and as much as she tried to force them to go away, they betrayed her and rolled down her cheeks.

"Everything will be alright now," Jungkook coos as she releases a sob. He hooks his chin over her shoulder and holds her close, letting her release everything.

Rosie realized that this—the grief, the violence, the injuries—were all part of the package deal when she agreed to be together with him.

Despite that, Rosie knows she would never leave Jungkook's side.

She pulls back, and Jungkook's face morphs into one of soft surprise as she smiles through her tears.

"I love you," she says, her voice so strong and laced with passion, as she cups his face in her hands.

Jungkook smiles, a small close-lipped one, as he leans forward and places the softest kiss onto her lips. "I love you more."
