"Baby, we got to get out. Let's get out of this town." ~ This Town [Kygo, Sasha Sloan]

Friday nights were a big deal at the high school, as the football team would take their stance on the field and compete. The study body was stirring with excitement and the teachers were trying—and failing—to keep their class's attention on their studies.

Rosie had never been to a football game before, as she was never allowed. She tried to match Ryan's excitement as he rambled on about the different plays he wanted to try on the field tonight, but Rosie honestly had no idea what half of the terms he used meant.

"You'll come, won't you?" he exclaims with a big smile.

"Oh, um..." Rosie fiddles with her fingers nervously and looks down. "I'm not sure."

"Then you'll at least try?" he grins, placing his hands on her desk.

Rosie winces as he draws near her, shrinking herself back in her seat as he stared at her with a close-lipped smile. It wasn't anything like Jungkook's. It was weird, and kinda creepy, but she tried to muster a small smile back.

"I'll see you tonight then," he declares when the bell rings, sending her a wink before walking away.

Rosie releases a shaky breath and packs up slowly. Once she was out in the hallway, a certain boy calling her name grasped her attention, causing her to turn and face him.

"Hey, R—hey, what's wrong?" Jungkook's voice immediately softens when he sees her distressed state.

Rosie looks up at him with a small whine, as she always grew more upset when someone asked her that. She was in awe, though, that he was able to tell something wasn't right just from looking at her for one second.

She suddenly grabs onto his forearms and gulps, her breaths becoming shaky. Her head felt like it was spinning and she felt icky and her pulse was starting to quicken and, and-

"Rosie," he says, his calm voice drawing her attention. "Hey, look at me. Let's go to the library, yeah?"

She manages to nod her head before he drags her to their private section, sitting her down on the beanbag before crouching in front of her.

"You okay?" he asks quietly.

"I'm just feeling kinda anxious today," she murmurs, looking down at her lap.

Ever since her nightmare—well, memory—she's been apprehensive. Everything felt weird and she just wanted to go home and spend the weekend in her bed, but with Ryan pleading with her to go to the game tonight, she felt obligated to go and support him.

"Well let's take this off, hm?" Jungkook keeps his voice soft and quiet to soothe her, reaching forward to take her backpack off her shoulders. "Let's eat in here today."

"Oh no, I'm sorry," she sighs, shaking her head. "I don't want to take you away from the boys."

"You're not," he says, his fingers grabbing the zipper of her backpack.

However, before he could unzip it, her hand grabbed his own with a gasp.

"You're hurt!" she exclaims, looking at his wrapped hand in worry.

"Rosie," he smiles, gently taking her hand off. "I'm okay. Don't work yourself up, okay? You need to relax."

Jungkook's words were probably supposed to be helpful, but it just caused her to pout and reach for his hand again. Rolling his eyes with a small smile, he placed his hand back into hers, watching her make a fuss over his injury.

"I really am okay, Rosie," he reassures her.

And it was true, but he couldn't help but secretly like seeing her worry over him. He hadn't had anyone do that in a long time. Of course, the boys were always there, but in the field they play in, they've faced far worse than this.

Jungkook's eyes widen as she brings his hand up to her mouth and presses a kiss to it, her cheeks a hue of red as she looks at him with a shy smile.

"It's supposed to help it feel better," she explains. "Taehyungie used to do it to me when I was younger."

Jungkook continues looking at her, his heart leaping in his chest. It was when she called his name softly that he pursed his lips and looked away quickly, hoping she wouldn't notice his ears turning a bright shade of red.

"Do you ever think about escaping somewhere?" Jungkook asks, staring up at the library ceiling. "Like somewhere far, far away."

The pair were back in the library for their free period, currently laying on their bean bags as they talked softly.

"Sometimes," she answers quietly. "I think Paris sounds beautiful."

"Ah~ tu souhaites voyager à Paris, mon amour?" Jungkook asks fluently, smirking when her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"What about you?" she asks.

"Escaping anywhere with you sounds beautiful," he answers with a cheeky grin.

Rosie turns to look at him with a playful glare before turning her gaze upward again, her cheeks burning red.

"What're you doing tonight?" Jungkook asks, turning onto his side to look at her.

"I might go to the football game," she sighs. "I've never been, and I don't even know if Taehyungie will let me, but it's worth a shot, right?"

"I guess," Jungkook scoffs. "It's a stadium full of stupid, sweaty people watching a ball being passed back and forth."

"Ryan said people enjoy them a lot," she laughs softly.

"Ryan?" the ravenette sits up with a frown. "Hak Ryan? He talked to you?"

"H-he's in my English class," Rosie stutters, sitting up with a nervous gulp.

"He shouldn't even be near you," Jungkook spits. "He's an asshole."

"Jungkook, that's mean," Rosie frowns. "He-"

"Rosie," the ravenette growls, gripping her cheeks in his hand to stop her from talking.

Rosie stares up at him with wide eyes, her lips puckered and her cheeks a pretty pink. He reached around her with his other hand and she squeaked when she felt his fingers slip into her back pocket to grab her phone.

"Put my number in," he huffs. "If you're going to this football game, you're not going alone. That's for damn sure."
