Gyro sped quickly on his horse quickly trying to catch up to Johnny after getting separated, a stand had completely changed the landscape causing them to split up by accident, he had just figured out the meeting spot, but first he had to kill the stand user.
As he approached the spot he heard a man yelling as a young lady begged him and promised him she’d kill him and Johnny, “I-I’m sorry ! I promise to get the job done so you can get the money, Please ! trust me !” she said in fear. “Good you bitch, don’t you dare flake out on me !” the man growled. The young lady silently sobbed as she got back to finding where he was, gyro heard as the man sped away.
Gyro seemed to have one goal in mind as he sped full speed ahead, he stopped as he reached the camp, as he entered he got ready to strike, throwing one of his steel balls (lol) getting ready to hit you. You saw the ball charging towards you, causing you to recall your stand, you closed your eyes with a smile, opening out your arms, ready to embrace death, gyro saw this, causing him to quickly grab his other ball, hitting the flying ball, knocking both to the ground.
Gyro now got a better look, seeing that you were already, badly beaten, despite your stand making you basically untouchable, Gyro could tell under all the bruises and blackeyes that you were beautiful. You opened your eyes confused, Gyro’s eyes widened as he saw your beautiful soft but dead eyes, pure kindness flowing out of you.
“H-huh ? aren’t you going to..kill me ?”
You asked softly as Gyro slowly approached you. “No..It seemed like you wanted to die..why is that ?” gyro asked as he stood in front of you. “My husband..he..he’s..” “Hurting you ?” Gyro said, finishing your sentence, causing you to nod, Gyro kneeled down in front of you, wiping blood away from your nose. “Is he forcing you to kill racers ? “ Gyro asked, you blushed as you nodded, shaking a little at Gyro’s gentle touches. “He’s a monster...hurting you so much that you’d let yourself be killed.” he whispered as he stood up, picking up the steel balls.
You looked down, crying a bit, only for Gyro to pick you up bridal style. “W-what ! what are you doing !?” you said in fear, Gyro didn’t answer, all he did was put you on his horse before he got on, gyro held on to your waist with one hand before going on with his horse with the other.
For two days you helped Gyro try to reach Johnny, they whole time, Gyro was kind and protective of you, he fed you and kept you safe, one time he gave you his jaket once it got cold.
Tonight was the last night before you found Johnny, you were prepared for Gyro to leave you, you hid in your sleeping bag, Gyro sitting close nearby, humming a song, you felt soft pats on your head after a while, causing you to peak out, there laid Gyro, his eyes closed while petting your head, “I know you’re afraid of me, I’m not gonna hurt you..” he said as he cuddled you. “I’m gonna win this race with you, then after you can stay with me..”
He said with a soft blush, you blushed, relizing that it was stupid for you to have been scared all this time. You smiled as you rested your head against his chest, you smiled as he kissed your head.
“I love you…”
Your eyes widened at Gyro’s words there was a brief moment of silence before you whispered back..
“I love you too..”
the next morning was just as you expected, Gyro helped you off his horse, behind you was a barn, Gyro kissed your forehead, “I’ll be back for you my love..please wait here for me..” was the last thing he ever said to you before hopping onto his horse, he smiled at you before leaving.
And till death you'd wait for him.
