A small smile spread on my face when I stepped into the familiar front hall, before walking up the stairs and walked down the hallway. I smiled just even wider by seeing the hideous carpet. Something in me felt relaxed by seeing it's ugliness.

I took a deep breath before lifting my fist, for a rare moment, and knocked three times on the door. I carefully folded my hands in front of me.

"What?" an unsual snappy and cold reply made my smile slowly fade and begin to worry. He didn't drink, did he?

"Mr. Park?" I spoke up as I opened the door and immediately stopped in my tracks making my face fall at the sight in front of me. Sunghoon in his usual chair, Nari straddling across his lap.

"Ah, miss Jung," his eyes widened before quickly beginning to try and push Nari off of him, "Nari, can you leave? This is a private work matter."

"Hm," Nari let out a huff of disapproval as she looked me up and down with a sharp look before her eyes fell on something around my hands, "oh my, miss Jung. You look to be injured, you surely can't work with that," Nari stated as she walked over and grabbed onto my left wrist, "sure looks like it's infected."

"It is not," I hissed and pulled my wrist back to myself, "now if you'd leave miss Nari, I need to have a very important talk with mr. Park," I stated and glared back at Sunghoon who just nodded at Nari.

"I'll be back in ten minutes my love~" Nari cooed before exiting the room and I immediately closed the door after her.

"You came back," Sunghoon stated with a small smile on his face.

"I am accepting your offer to work as your assisting maid till the month runs out," I calmly spoke and he nodded at me.

"I'll call off the wedding then," he stated and I simply shook my head making him raise both his eyebrows at me, "no?"

"Not with what I just witnessed mr. Park," I calmly stated, "you've further proven against yourself in your claim of not using me. I won't tolerate it, and will only be here until the month runs out."

"Oh no," he muttered before abruptly standing up, "no, no, no, no," he repeated before rushing over to me and grabbing both my hands making me just blankly stare up at him, "let me explain first."

"What? I came in at the wrong moment when she just so happened to be trying and get onto you?" I questioned.

"Yes! Exactly! That is... that is actually oddly specific of what happened," he frowned down at me, "how'd you know?"

"A classic excuse mr. Park," I calmly stated, "now would you mind letting go of my hands so I can start working?"

"Sieun, I'm serious," he sternly stated, "I wanted her to leave me alone, but she just crawled onto my lap. I promise you, I did not use you. You just came in at a wrong time, where she wanted to use me. I'm begging you please believe me."

"Let's sit down and talk mr. Park," I stated and pulled my hands from his before walking over to my usual chair, as he walked over in his, staring at me with anticipation, "what do you expect me to say?"

"That you'll move in with me and believe me when I tell you I will call off the wedding," he stated and leaned his elbows on the table, "please..."

"Secretary Shim informed me you will be having an engagement party this weekend," I commented, "I'll make sure everything is in order mr. Park."

"Can you please stop?" he pleaded with sad eyes, "I don't want her. I want you."

"You can't marry me mr. Park. I'm a minor and a poor maid," I shook my head at him.

"I'll wait," he eagerly reached over and grabbed onto my left hand, "I don't care about who you are... I mean I do, but I don't care about where you came from. You're so much more than just a poor maid... your dad wanted to leave you in the hands of someone who would watch out for you. I will do that, he believed I did that and would continue to do so. I'll keep on doing that."

"My dad knew who you were," I shook my head and his face fell, "he knew I was working for you, he knew your face from when his workers went to your company. He knew you were my boss and not my boyfriend."

"How..." he slowly trailed off.

"He asked to meet you for a meeting shortly after his workers went to you, do you remember sir?" I questioned and he stayed silent with a frown on his face, "he said you were the coldest and most insensitive person he had ever met. I could see on him he knew who you were when you visited. But, the way he was laughing and speaking with you that one time... he doesn't hate you or resent you, he saw you as an equal."

"I feel so stupid," Sunghoon sighed and dropped his head into his free hand, still holding onto my hand, "hold on..." he frowned and looked up at me, "Nari said you were injured."

"I'm fine," I shook my head at him.

"On... your left wrist," he realized and looked at my left hand that laid in his.

He quickly grabbed tighter onto my hand and shoved my sleeve up my arm, revealing a small burn on my arm.

"How... how did you get this?" he questioned and just looked at the small burn mark.

"It was an accident," I shook my head at him making him glance up at me before pressing a small kiss to the small burn.

"You'll tell me later," he pointed out and I simply hummed at him as he rubbed my hand with his thumb, "please tell me... will you be staying with me? Shall I call off the wedding?"

"We won't be having a romantic relation when I'm working here," I shook my head at him.

"But when the month is over?" he questioned a small spark of hope lit in his eyes.

It was truly a wonder how he had changed so much in his treatment of me and his attitude towards me, in just three months. He was no longer as cold, reserved or mean as he used to be, he was instead so cute, caring and hopeful whenever he spoke to me or was around me.

"Then just maybe I will move in."
