I decided not to complain too much about the unfortunate and unfamiliar predicament we were placed in, even I knew that Chishiya wouldn't take my complaints well despite seeming a little different than usual.

I had what I wanted, I had all the time in the world to spend time with Chishiya. Alone. I almost wondered if maybe I had brought this on us, as Chishiya almost convinced himself it was his fault deep down I blamed myself for what happened.

I wanted so badly to spend time with Chishiya like we used to in the past, I wanted it to be just us 2 as we did whatever we wanted - Now we had that chance, now we were alone and had access to do anything we wanted, we could visit anywhere in Japan that we wanted to.

Yet, I didn't want this to be a reality, I didn't want my wish to be at the expense of others existence.

In the loud silence surrounding me I heard a voice," What are you thinking about y/n?"

I turned towards Chishiya who was picking out some of the snacks on the shelf ahead of us.

Almost immediately we pulled ourselves to our feet, deciding it best not to dwell on any ideas or thoughts we were having and to simply continue living any way we could in this world. That's why we were looking for food to eat, that's why we had stole whatever we could knowing we weren't going to be prosecuted for in this new world with only us there was no one who could judge us.

"Nothing" I lied in reply to his question, finding it best not to worry him. Although Chishiya was someone who struggled to convey emotion and feelings verbally and physically I understood how he was, I understood the boy was worried and therefore throwing my struggles to him were only going to give him more things he should be concerned about and I definitely didn't want that.

As the darkness ate up the dark blue sky we found ourselves seated in a furniture store looking out at the buildings, there wasn't much to look at as the lights were all cut out, every single light was busted.

We decided it was of our best interest to place ourselves in a mall for the moment where we had access to food, furniture and simple living necessities. Of course, we had decided that we would go to our homes tomorrow and I guess it was because the pair of us were hung up on the idea that maybe there was just someone else in the empty world, both of us had the same idea.

If we were brought here maybe someone in our family would be.

"Do you think this is for an event?" I hummed quietly as I ate into the snacks, a makeshift dinner we had created on a whim, however, despite only appearing in this unfamiliar world today all the fresh food was rotten as if it had been lying there for weeks.

We supposed that with no one else in the world to tell us what to do we could eat whatever we liked and therefore we had opted to our favourite makeshift dinner we would have as kids, compiling of our favourite foods.

We would usually watch TV together but with no power we were stuck looking at the dark window ahead of us, it once presented buildings but the darkness had enveloped the buildings ahead of the window and therefore the outline of them was barley recognisable.

"Y/n" He chuckled softly and it was that chuckle that presented almost disappointment in my suggestion. "Do you seriously think if it was for an event we'd be kept here for so long?"

"It's only been a few hours" I hummed, shuffling my feet closer to his own.

"A few hours too many" He finalised and he glanced at me, we only had the light of a few candles we lit ahead of us, it was the only light we could create, and the assortment of flavoured candles made a surprisingly nice smell in the air.

I nodded, "Ah... right"

I listened to the boy beside me laugh a little and I felt satisfied that within the unfamiliar situation he could still laugh.

It was only a few more comfortable conversations before we both squinted our eyes with the blinding lights ahead of us.

I couldn't help but mutter under my breath as I placed my hand over my eyes for a moment, blinking violently to adjust to the bright light that had appeared all too suddenly.

Yet, although I had been without it almost the whole day I wasn't surprised with the light but instead I was surprised with what was presented on the screen ahead of us.

"Game?" I managed aloud and I looked at the boy. "What do you think it means? Like a competition? Like the spelling bee's and sports days?" I blurted aloud, I could only presume that my sudden questions came out of hope for the boy beside me who was well experienced in all of those things, he never lost a game wether it be based around luck or skill - Both of them seemed to be on his side.

The words 'GAME' were a dark black over the bright white background, the screen also pointed to a direction that the game would be held in.

I couldn't help but jump to my feet, "I suppose we should check it out" I spoke, and Chishiya looked at me with a soft smile, "You'll win" I stated.

He stood up, looking at me in the eyes, it was nice to see his face light up, not surrounded by any darkness, I liked to see each inch of his pretty face. "Aren't you scared? You've never been any good at games y/n"

I scoffed, hitting his chest lightly as I walked without him, "I've never been bad, it's only that you outshine me" I stated. "I'm good at games, it all depends what it is"

Chishiya hopped beside me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder as if he was going to say something playful to me with an undertone of the intended meaning. "You don't have to be worried, I'll win for you"

Of course, he would always win.

Winning and Chishiya were closer friends than Chishiya and I.
