"4 of clubs?" I hummed aloud. "Just what is that?"

Chishiya looked towards me, I couldn't help but notice his eyes had a sort of fire behind them almost suggesting that he was attempting to tell me either to be quiet and listen or maybe he simply wanted to play already.

I hoped it was the second one, I didn't want him to hate me another time... after all, we'd only just reunited once again.

I looked away from his face, finding my comfort too dissapear with the simple action. The phone in my hand changed the text, and I could only look back down at the device in my hand.

"Game; shoot out" Announced the phone; and I tilted my head softly, I couldn't help but wonder just what was meant by the name of the game, I wondered if maybe... Just maybe it would be like the arcade game Chishiya and I played once before we arrived to this place.

I wondered if maybe the whole ordeal was a large event to promote another arcade, that seemed like the most logical idea.

"Rules; players will be required to shoot their target within the set time limit, there will be 4 rounds and limited bullets" The female voice announced once again, and the screen flashed back to normal, almost instantly the door ahead of us clicked open.

There was a shuffle of bodies as everyone approached the now open door leading into the building and I couldn't help but follow them softly as curiosity peeked at my mind almost eating me alive.

The game seemed so simple, it seemed just like another game Chishiya and I could play together... however, I wondered why the other people we were grouped with seemed somewhat nervous and just why some of them were stained with blood and their own tears, I wondered just why they all looked so haunted if the game we were attending sounded so simple.

"Stick by my side y/n" said a familiar voice from beside me, I hadn't noticed that just infront of the door I had stopped in my footsteps and I definitely didn't notice the comforting presence that too had stopped beside me, I glanced towards the certain blonde haired boy, and I smiled gently. Upon setting my eyes upon my - hopefully - reassuring smile the boy sighed, "How can you be smiling in this situation?"

And I shrugged, I supposed that I couldn't give a certain answer either; I would have finalised that it was because he was here after so long and talking to me as if we were friends and not enemies... or maybe it was because he was simply beside me.

We walked inside the large room together, glancing at the guns laid out on a large table placed against the even larger windows. The windows were wide open, leading to the outside and I couldn't help but wonder just what this room was used for, it seemed to be only a large room made from glass. Chishiya stood next to me, taking the gun he walked infront of.

I followed the other participants in taking the gun, standing close to Chishiya gave me comfort in the abnormal situation.

The gun was heavy, and as I held the cold metal in my hand and felt the material between my fingers I realised then the seriousness of the game - These were real guns. Crafted carefully and used only for violence, I couldn't help but furrow my brows as I held the heavy gun.

"This feels different to the plastic one we held in the arcade" I said aloud, and I assumed that I tried to offer some calmness to Chisiya who seemed to be focused on the gun he was holding.

Chishiya found his lip twitching softly before smiling at me in the end after fighting against my joke, a small chuckle falling from his lips, a pretty chuckle, one I had missed so dearly. "Definitely"

"Players, please look at the colour on the end of your gun and shoot that colour when it appears" Announced the familiar female voice, however, it didn't come from the phones this time and instead from behind us.

I turned around frantically, noticing a small TV on the wall, it too was lit up a bright white background with black text. However, I hastily turned around, holding the heavy gun further away from me as I evaluated it carefully, scanning the black weapon with evaluative eyes before sighing softly.

"Red" I muttered aloud.

"Ah, I'm blue" Chishiya spoke, and he looked at me with eyes presenting nothing but his raw kindness, the same kindness he had when we were kids.

"You have 30 seconds to shoot the target... Game start!"

I diverted my eyes away from Chishiya, grunting softly as I held the heavy gun, and I looked around the open windows at the forest ahead of us. "I cant see anything" I whispered, and it wasn't a lie.

In the large forest like area there was barley any space to see anything, with leaves and Ivy climbing up the empty fences and trees almost everything seemed covered; with twigs piled on the floor and large trees lined around the area the windows presented there was almost no room for anything to be hidden.

However, I blinked harshly with a gentle groan, I found that I was starting to get a little excited with the game as I was faced with a challenge... A challenge I could try to win against Chishiya.

"20 seconds!"

I swiftly looked around before setting my eyes higher up in the trees, and instantly I fiddled for the trigger, pulling on it quickly as I shot the somewhat large target dangling from the tree, and I sighed a deep breath as I heard a ding appear from behind me indicating my success.

Maybe it was my gunshot that resulted in the other ring of shots, maybe with my idea to look higher up the other people in the room had found their targets.

Except from an older male... he was the only one who hadn't found his target- looking at the older man next to me I offered him a shy smile.

"It's okay, you'll find the next one-"

My words stopped abruptly once the time ended.  So did his life.

With a bullet through his head the man faltered on his weak legs and he slowly found himself descending to the floor, even though he was dead his body was still standing for a few seconds before he dropped dead beside me, his blood falling from his head and descending to the floor.

I was frozen in shock, in confusion, worry, fear and most importantly I was frozen in dread - I wondered if maybe I would end up like that too. What if it was Chishiya?

If Chishiya left me I wouldn't be able to survive.

"Well" Chishiya said aloud, and with a shaky breath I turned to him, my body was a quivering as a result of the scene that played out beside me. "This definitely isn't like the zombie game we played at the arcade"
