Kazan
I jumped in surprise as Moya gasped awake. Her eyes burned a bright blue as she awoke.
A single word escaped her lips, "Kazan." Then her eyes closed once more. Suddenly, I felt another force pull me into Moya's mind. It pressed on my temple so hard I almost passed out.
Jacob
Dad and Moya began to glow brightly. So bright that it looked like the sun. Then, suddenly, they were both gone... and I woke up.
Kazan
My breath hitched as I realized where we were. The prison... where my dreams put me. Why was it also in Moya's mind?
"You've been seeing this place." An echoed voice called out. "Haven't you? A cold, disgusting prison filled with miserable souls. Yet, you and Tatsumaki resided here. Not only that, both of you were mere children. Why is that? Well, only you know the answer to that, my naive esper."
"Moya?" I asked. "Where are you?"
"Shut up, sinner!!" Moya's ambient voice roared. A mirror flew out of the darkness and froze right in front of me. My face was disfigured, never keeping the same features for more than a second. I reached up and touched me face, only to feel a numbing force on my fingers. "After all these years, you continue to persist while destroying everything."
"I've done nothing!!" A distorted squeak sounded from my mouth. A hand reached out of the mirror and grabbed me by the throat. Moya's shadowy form stepped out of the shiny mirror before the object disappeared entirely.
"You are a terror to this world." She spat. "I must kill you. I must."
"Why?"
"Because... because... I must." For the first time, I saw her waver in her mission to kill me. He grip tightened on my throat as a single tear dripped down her cheek. The tear then ripped through her skin, forming a crack in her face, like she was a vase on its last leg. Suddenly, her arm shattered like glass, and she fell to her knees. "I must kill you." She cried as her body began to crumble. "I have no choice."
"Have you forgotten what I told you?" Another voice in the darkness. "You pathetic failure of an esper. I should've left you to suffer with your father. At least he would've gotten some use out of you." A figure walked right by me, shrouded in cloud. It grabbed Moya's face, and she began to scream in agony. Her voice screeched so loudly that it could've shattered glass. Blood began to seep out of the cracks as she continued screaming.
"Stop it!" I screamed, seemingly unable to move. The figure removed their hand and turned to look at me. Moya looked hollow as she shuttered quietly, almost trying to seem invisible. Her eyes looked hollow as she kneeled on the floor.
The figure showed their eyes... burning bright red. Brighter than any sun, yet it didn't leave any illumination around it.
"Ah... the child wants to intervene. You know, I could actually use you right now. I want that bitch you call a mother." The figure forced their palm on my forehead, sending a fierce burn through my body. I screamed in pain and fell to my knees. I felt like I was on fire on the inside as I screamed in agony.
"Stop..." A weak voice sounded through the screams. The figure's hand separated from my forehead and turned back to Moya, who was looking right at me.
"Wow, feelings already pushing through the therapy. You continue to surprise me, girl. God, human love is an annoyance."
Love? I thought. What is he talking about?
"You know how long it took to get this bitch to stop crying over you?" The figure laughed. "She's more stubborn than you could ever believe. Kinda sad."
"Who are you, you monster?" I asked.
"Monster? Pretty ironic coming from you. So easily manipulated. Just needed a little push. A little event to scare you into not trusting. Still a child after all these years. Still a weak, little child who needs other people to defend him. Tatsumaki, Saitama, and..." The figure trailed off. "A great mistake on your part."
"What?"
"SILENCE!!!" The figure roared, shaking the entire areas. "You are a failure, Kazan. A failed experiment. A disappointing child, stolen from me. Leaving me with her... and the sisters. Well, mainly just her. Imagine... the runt escapes. Incredibly annoying. If I could, I'd take you right now, but, unfortunately, that woman has you in her grasp. Not for long, though."
"Stay the hell away from me and my mom, you piece of shit!"
"Your mom?!" The figure burst out laughing. "She so far from your mother. However, she is quite adept at memory altering, which has annoyed the hell out of me. Luckily, looking into your mind has helped me quite a bit."
"Don't you dare touch her!"
"I'm going to let you go now." The figure sighed. He looked down at the almost-hollow shell of a person previously known as Moya. "We still have some unfinished business, however." He placed his hand lightly on her crumbling shoulder. Moya shuttered as another tear dropped from her chin. "She needs some fixing." I began to move towards him, but got absorbed by a blinding light.
And I woke.
"Took you long enough!" Tatsumaki's squeaky voice echoed out. I looked outside, and it was pitch black.
"How long was I in there?" I asked.
"I was kicked out about four hours ago." Jacob replied.
"Four hours?"
"What did you see in there?" Jacob asked.
"I'm... not sure. But I know that I need to go see my... my mom."
"Now is not the time for family gatherings, kid!" Tatsumaki interjected.
"Whoever is in there with Moya is after her!" I yelled back. Tatsumaki crossed her arms and scoffed. I groaned and stood up. "The person mentioned you and your sister." A spark of rage formed in Tatsumaki's bright green eyes. She lifted me up with her powers and threw me out of the window.
"Don't start threatening me, kid." Tatsumaki snarled as she floated down to the street.
"How did you ever construe that as a threat? Seems like you get off being pissed off." I argued.
"Will you two just SHUT UP?!!!" Jacob roared from the apartment. The air rippled from the pressure of his voice.
"Shut up!! I'm trying to sleep!!" The faint voice of Saitama echoed from his apartment.
"You two are pissing me the hell off!" Jacob groaned as he landed on the street. "Just fighting nonstop. God! Just shut up." His outburst shocked me. Seemed like a bit of an overreaction.
BOOM!!
The entirety of my apartment exploded in purple and bright blue light.
"Oh, come on!" Saitama screamed. Moya floated in the air above the apartment, streaks of blue and purple light exiting her eyes. The power she was exerting felt different. It wasn't compact like before, it was chaotic. It was far more powerful than anything she'd ever produced before.
"I'll say hello to Natalia for you, Kazan. For you, esper sister. And..." An ominous smile formed on her face as she looked at Jacob. "...you."
Took a little time, but new chapter.
I'm going to be talking about how long I see this story going. I already have a roadmap of how I want it to play out, but, for the moment, I've reached about the halfway point. I've got tons of stuff coming. It won't come out very quickly. Well, quicker than this took, but it may take some time. I'll start increasing chapter length as story shit is about to go off. Lotsa stuff to tie up and lotsa stuff to reveal. Again, sorry it took so long, but I'm ready to start back up again.
