"Why am I remembering something like this?" I asked myself. "That wasn't just a dream. It was so real. It's as though I was actually there, I knew who that guy was, and I knew why I was there. I had no idea what was going on, but my body knew what to do. I seemed to just be along for the ride." I held my forehead and looked at myself in the mirror. "Whether that was me or not, I can't let that happen to me anymore. I need to get stronger. I have to. I can't be pushed around." I turned off the light and left the bathroom. I lied back down and fell asleep once more.
I got up and put on some casual clothes. I then began walking to City A to meet with Psykos. I saw one small monster on my way through City B. It was like a bull-human hybrid. I used my powers and froze it. I felt absolutely no strain on my body. It was a small monster, but I was still amazed by my quick power growth. I then closed my hand into a fist and the monster was then crushed into a ball shape. A few people saw me, but I had my hood up, so they didn't see my face. One person walked up to me and asked,
"Are you a hero?"
"I'm new to the hero scene." I answered. "I started a few weeks ago."
"Do you have a name?" The female person asked. I lifted my hood to reveal my pale face with my slightly red hair.
"I'm Kazan." I answered. "Sorry, but I have to go meet someone."
"Ok." She said. "My name's Hailey." I put my hood back up and turned around. "I'll see you around?" I looked back at her and said,
"Anything is possible." I returned to my walk to City A. That little encounter was pretty cool. It's nice to know some people are noticing me. Strength is already showing its perks. I chuckled to myself. I'd already gained a fan. That's so cool! I smiled at myself. I'm gonna go see her again. But for now... I have to get to know Psykos.
I reach City A and wait for Psykos at a little coffee shop. They always seemed to have hero news on the televisions. The tall building I saw here last time was apparently the Hero Association HQ. That explained the grand scale of it. I just hope I'm popular enough to be a part of it at some point. I ordered a muffin and some normal, black coffee. I noticed that my wallet wasn't getting empty, but it was getting more full, which was rather strange. I didn't give it too much thought. The waitress came back with what I ordered. I began to look out the window at the enormous city outside. I began to wonder if Psykos was going to show.
I finished my muffin and began to finish up my coffee. I looked back forward and saw Psykos sitting across from me. I kinda jumped and almost spilled my coffee. She chuckled at me.
"How did you sit down without me noticing?" I asked.
"I can be very light on my feet when I want to be." She answered. The same waitress that got my order came over and asked Psykos what she wanted. "Just a mint cappuccino." The waitress smiled, and Psykos smiled back. The waitress wrote it down and walked away.
"How long have you been sitting here?" I asked.
"Not as long as you think." She answered. "About two minutes." I nodded in understanding. I took another sip of my coffee.
"So what is it that you wanted to learn about me first?" I asked. She began to lean back and think for a second.
"Why did you decide to live in such a deserted place like City Z?" She questioned.
"I used to live in City Y, but I decided to start living on my own." I started. "The prices in City Y were too extreme, and I was determined to get my own place. I saw that the prices in City Z were almost nothing compared to nearly every other nearby city... but if I am to be honest, I would never want to live here."
