I was having the most fun I think I've had in quite a while. She told me that she always looked up to the not-so-popular heroes. She's so amazing. I just looked into her pitch black eyes as she talked. She told me she's studying to be a nurse in college. She showed me one of her notebooks. Inside were countless pencil drawings. They were so good. I told her about my experience in being a self-proclaimed hero. I told her I was about to sign up to try out and become a real hero. I told her about Saitama, and apparently she found him quite goofy. She also thought I was making it up.

"There's no way someone can be that strong." She said. I chuckled and responded,

"You'd be surprised." I took a bite from my lunch. "He's so strong that he's bored of fighting."

"That's unbelievable." She gawked. "By the way, you said you'd tell me where you live on our first date."

"Oh, right, my bad." I chuckled. "I live in City Z, near the construction site."

"City Z?!" She asked, shocked. "Why would you live in such a deserted place?"

"Low prices." I said, simply. She chuckled at my simple response. We continued talking and getting to know each other. However, it was almost four, and she said she had some work to do. I understood and stood up. I then quickly hugged her. I then immediately let go and backed up a few small steps. She laughed at my nervousness and wrapped her arms around me. I began to blush, but I soon wrapped my arms around her.

"I'll see you around." She said, smiling.

"Yeah, I'll-" we were then blasted further into the shop, and I slammed my head into the counter, knocking me out.

I woke up and smelled ash in the air. I looked around and saw fire spreading around me. I quickly panicked.

"Hailey!!" I screamed. I began pushing myself up. I then felt and enormous amount of pain in my leg. I looked down and saw a large piece of glass sticking in my right hamstring. "Hailey!!" I began looking around the debris to find her. I began hyperventilating and sweating profusely. The fire was slowly spreading.

"Kazan!!" I heard.

"Hailey!" I called. "Where are you?!"

"I'm-I'm by the corner opposite to the door!" She yelled.

"Stay right there, I'm coming." I yelled back. There were others in there trying to make their way out. I began quickly crawling to where she said she was. I saw her with a wooden bar on top of her. She was trying to push it off of her.

"I-I can't get it off!" She said to me. I raised my hand and used my power to slowly lift the bar off of her. I then threw it against the wall. She then tried to sit up but then squealed in pain. "I-I think my ribs are broken." I then pushed myself up once more. I then grabbed a tablecloth.

"Stay right there, okay?" I said.

"O-Okay." She answered. I grabbed a tablecloth and ripped it in half. I then began breathing deeply and put my hand around the shard in my leg. I then quickly pulled. I groaned in pain and fell on my back. Blood began pouring out of the wound. I then used the tablecloth and tied it around my wound. I then stood up while using the table as leverage. It still hurt but not as much. My head was bleeding, so my powers were extremely limited right now. I limped over to her and picked her up, bridal style.

"I gotcha." I said, reassuringly.

"What happened?" She whimpered onto my shirt as she held on tight.

"I don't know." I grunted out. I limped my way to the door and outside. It was almost like from an action movie. Not only was the coffee house on fire, but many other surrounding buildings were as well. Cars were crashed into each other. It looked like something from a zombie apocalypse. "Good god. Are there no heroes here?" I saw tears running down Hailey's face. I quickly tried calming her down, but that was impossible with what was going on. "The heroes who could really help must be elsewhere. Dammit!"
