About a month had passed. I spent the entire month running up and down the stairs to the dojo and cleaning it every day. He told me that I was ready to learn. The start was very rough. I was very unbalanced and my movements were "clunky" as Master Bang would say.
Another month passed. I learned very rudimentary movements. I studied and practiced the movements every chance I could. I thought I was getting good... Master Bang didn't. He told me I was still less than good.
Month three. I saw a small blue streak appear from behind my hand while performing a movement one day. It was really cool... I couldn't get it back again for the rest of the year.
Month four. I met this skinny guy named Charanko. He's a real funny guy. He's like how I used to be with martial arts. He seems to want to get better, but he doesn't want to use the energy.
Next month. I fought Master Bang for the first time, and it ended exactly how I expected it to. I lost before five seconds were over. I then spent about a week on bed rest to treat my injuries.
Month six. I was making a lot of progress. The cool blue stuff was leaving a trail behind my hands now. I was getting much better and a much quicker rate. Charanko hasn't improved much.
Month seven. Master Bang had given me news that Hailey was about to leave the hospital. He told me there was t an exact date but it was soon. I tried keeping up my practices, but I was a little distracted by the news.
Month eight. I was able to get back on track with my practices. There was no news on Hailey, so she must still be at the hospital.
Ninth month. I heard news that she was about to be released from the hospital. I had been given a skin-tight, long-sleeved, black shirt and baggy, white pants. I still wore tennis shoes, but Master Bang didn't seem to care. He had given me a small bag of food as I decided to make a trip back to City Z.
I was going to set up back home before going to see Hailey, so I could get situated once more.
"Thank you, Master Bang." I bowed to him as I stood at the doorway.
"I hope to see you again, Kazan." He smiled.
"Bye, Charanko!" I waved as I began my way down the stairs.
"Bye, weird guy!" He called back.
"That's not very nice, Charanko." I heard from Bang. I chuckled as I made my way down the stairs.
It took me about an hour of walking before I made it back to the city. I was on the outskirts of A, so I had to find out exactly where I was.
Unluckily, I was on the opposite side of where I wanted to be. I groaned as I began my extremely long walk back home.
It took about six hours, but I finally made it back home. The training of Master Bang really helped because my legs were only slightly sore. I looked up at the apartment, and my heat began to beat out of my chest. What if Saitama knew I was a monster? How can I face Psykos? How can I just go back up there with no punishment? I slapped my temple and entered the desolate building.
I slowly opened the door to my room. I was almost exactly like I left it... only with more dust. I knew I couldn't handle the amount of dust, so I began to clean it all up.
It only took about half an hour when I got it to an acceptable condition. I sighed and stepped out onto the balcony.
"Hey... Kazan?" I heard to my left. I looked over and saw Saitama. Looks like it took him a few seconds to remember my name.
"That's right, Saitama." I assured him. "You remembered." He nervously chuckled as he wiped his forehead. I walked back into the apartment and got some different clothes on. I put my martial arts clothes and hung them up in my closet. I put on some black pants, a dark red shirt, and a black sweatshirt.
I went back into the balcony. I sighed as I leaned against the edge. I began to lower my eyelids.
"Kazan?" I heard below me. I jumped up and looked down to the street. Psykos was standing there, looking at me. I began to think she was going to kill me. I slowly walked down to the street.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, somberly.
"I haven't seen you in almost a year." She said. "That's the first thing you ask? I'm hurt." She obviously wasn't hurt, but it was in her nature to say she was to make me feel back. I felt anything but.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"There's something you need to see." She answered. I suspiciously nodded and followed her. "Where were you?"
"I was changing myself." I told her. "I can't be a monster." She didn't seem to respond anymore to me after that. I didn't mind too much.
We entered the base. It wasn't empty anymore. There were many monsters here. I saw about thirty monsters here before seeing Orochi in the large room. He was about five times as tall as last time. I saw a few monsters eyeing at me.
"When did the monsters get here?" I asked.
"About three months ago." She answered, quickly. "More will come, for sure."
We then made it back to the room with the chair machine thing.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
"I want you to stay here for a little bit." She answered. "I have to do something." I slowly nodded in agreement as she left.
I went up to the machine and touched it. I thought I may have a way to find out what it can do. I hoped that I could spread my powers through the system and find any components that are unusual. My hand gained a red outline as I used my powers. I then came across a strange substance in the machine. It seemed to have some esper capabilities. It was just one ability, however, but what ability.
I then forced some out of the machine. It was a clear substance. I looked closely at it and tried to figure out what it did. I separated about a drop from the substance. I couldn't feel any toxic chemicals in the substance, so it would be safe for consumption.
I put the drop in my mouth... and then nothing. I felt my powers turn off and the substance dropped to the ground. I heard the splash as it hit the ground. I couldn't see anything. I then felt myself moving on its own. I wasn't moving my muscles, but I still moved.
"Hey." I heard. This snapped me out of whatever I was in. I saw Psykos in the doorway. "Follow me." I nodded and followed her.
What was that? Why was my body moving on my own? I wasn't in control of my own body. Could it be that... someone else was calling controlling me? Is that substance used for mind control? Why would she not tell me that? She's told me everything but that? Why is that a secret? Is it...? Wait. Could it be that... the heroes who attacked me were under her control?
The Hero Association said they had no explanation for why this happened... but what if they were telling the truth? What if she had the heroes attack me, so I could move away from heroism and become a monster? She knew a monster couldn't possibly help people. She knew that I would change once I became a monster. All this time... she was only preparing me to become a monster. She knew I could be dangerous if against her, so she made sure I would be on her side. I knew this sounded far-fetched, but it almost made sense. The only question was... Why isn't she trying to kill me? Why am I just walking around in her base without anybody attacking me?
I chose to be on my guard for the rest of the time I was there. This is hostile territory more than ever. Anyone could kill me at any time.
I began to sense and absolutely insane amount of esper energy in front of us. It might be as strong as Tatsumaki... if not stronger. I can't be sure since I'm sure she didn't use all of her power against me... but this amount of esper energy was unbelievable. She came up to a door that was oddly clean compared to everything else.
She opened the door. There was a room that was similar to every other. I then saw that there was carpet rudimentarily out on the floor. The walls were also much cleaner. I walked into the room, slowly. I then saw Psykos turn on a dim light in the room. It was a weak lamp that turned on.
What I saw appear in the light made my heart jump. It was a small crib. No. No, no, no. I walked towards the crib with a face of fear. I looked down into the crib.
There lied a sleeping, baby boy.
