Translation:

April 4th (I know that's not the real time when the events happened, but just deal with me- this is for the story. Maybe.)

Hello journal!
(My friends tell me it's childish to write in a 'diary', but Y/n suggested it's a way more efficent way then talking to sheep. Poeple might here you, and it's way more confidential. I think.)

Today I will be sneeking out, because all the other guys say it's cool. I won't be going far tho, so don't worry. I'm very mature for my age, even my mother agreed.

Anyways, that's all for today!

Have a great day journal! :)

-Dart

Dart happily gazed his leather book, putting back the quill in it's jar. He didn't close it just yet, because he didn't want the ink to smudge and damage the rest of the pages. He gently hid it deep in his desk, and sat up from his chair.

The young boy quickly tidied up his desk, knowing fair and well uncle Tanner would freak out if he saw yet another mess. His workplace was always so unorganized- even if he's worked hard to keep it clean- and Tanner's kind of a germaphobe. Dart found it amazing how he wasn't quit his messy job yet. They did need the money, though.

Taking a lantern from his desk, he stood on his tiptoes and quickly headed out of his room. You know how they say standing on your tiptoes will make your walk silent?

Well, that is a complete lie.

The oak floorboard creaked under each step he took, as he cringed at the squeaky noise.

He figured it was because he was transferring all his weight on one part of his feet instead of distributing the weight evenly, which caused the planks to creak. Or maybe it was just because the floor was old.

Inwardly sighing, Dart slowly walked out the door. He made sure to look behind him just in case, and was delighted to see no one was in the hall.
