You, Me, and the Kid: A Stefanielle Story

Part 25

Once Danielle had finally left, Stefania walked back to the living room and sat on the other end of the couch. Andi crawled over to Stefania and crawled on top of her. And the both of them stayed there and got some much needed sleep.

Danielle had got into her car and drove off from the driveway. The first thing she did was play some music. It was always a way to calm her down from sad situations like this. When she hit shuffle on the playlist the first song that played was 'Perfect by Ed Sheeran'. This song was the one song that her and Andi always sung to the top of their lungs. And of course it was the one song that came on. Why was that certain songs always came on when your in a situation that reminds you of that person?

Danielle realized that she need to call someone to let them know she was coming so she didn't just show up at their house. She called her mom and when her mom didn't answer she called her dad. "Hey kiddo what's up?" He said once he answered. "Hey are you and mom busy this week?"

Dad: No honey what's up?
D.Savre: I need somewhere to come stay until next Tuesday.
Dad: what happened with Stef and Andi?
D.Savre: it's a long story.
Dad: is everything ok?
D.Savre: Yea everything's fine I just need to stay somewhere for while.
Dad: well you can always stay here. Are you on your way?
D.Savre: Yea
Dad: Ok well I'm at the hardware store rn and your moms at work so you'll be home by yourself for a while. Is that ok?
D.Savre: Yea that's fine.
Dad: alright love you kiddo
D.Savre: love you too

And she hung up the phone. This was gonna be a long week.

Wednesday

Today Stef was at home with Andi all day. It was still raining outside so they still couldn't do anything. Stefania had cut down Andi's punishment from a month and a half to just a month. A semi big chop but with was worth it. She did also gave Andi the privilege of watching tv again so she wasn't bored all the time and bothering her mom. Stefania had woke up and went downstairs to make  breakfast, but she got downstairs she saw a plate that had two waffles on them and some blueberries and some whip cream with the syrup sitting right by the plate. There was also a note.

Here's your breakfast today. I know you miss mom just as much as I do. But she'll come back- Andi

Stefania's heart broke, in a good way, when she saw the word mom. We guess it wasn't on accident, that she called Dani that. Stefania also chuckled when she saw the top of Andi's head from over the counter.

"Andi I can see you." She said.
"Really? I thought I was in a good hiding spot." She said standing back up.
"Did you enjoy your breakfast surprise?"
"I did bambina." She said kind of sad.
"You miss her don't you?" Andi said.

Stefania nodded. "But she's doing this for us." Andi nodded and ran back over to the couch to watch tv.

Danielle was at home in her bed doing some tabs for work. She barely got any sleep last night. Probably because it was storming really bad and she knew how much Andi was scared of storms. But also because she missed sleeping next to her fiancé.

The way they would cuddle up next to each other when it was cold, or the way they would have little talks about absolutely nothing, and would keep talking until the other person fell asleep. Or the fact that Andi would always sneak into their room and crawl into the middle of them. All she wanted was this week to go by fast. She missed them.

"Hey kiddo?" Her dad said knocking on her old bedroom door. Her room used to be any typical high school room. She used to have pink walls and posters hanging on every single corner of the walls. That was until her parents decided to re do their house once her and Steph moved out.
"Come in!!" She yelled.
