“Are you sure you two are okay with the kids for the day?” Bridget asked Momma and Tia as we were having our morning coffee.

“They are going to be fine, Bridge,” I told my wife.

“Can they not talk for themselves?” Bridget questioned me with a smartass tone.

“I raised three kids of my own. I’m sure I can handle my grandkids,” Momma told her, “Besides Tia’s here to help.”

“You need to calm down,” I told Bridget.

“Luke, this is the first time I’ve left this house since we got home from Kentucky,” Bridget informed me.

“I know, but Momma and Tia will be fine. It’s not like we are leaving the country,” I told her.

“Don’t even suggest that!” Bridget scolded me, “And don’t roll your eyes at me!”

“I’m going to get dressed,” I told Bridget, Momma, and Tia before I got up and walked towards the stairs.

“Hold on,” Bridget yelled, “I’m coming too.”

I waited at the bottom of the stairs for Bridget. As soon as she was by my side I took her hand and we walked up the stairs hand in hand.

“Luke, you know that after this everyone is going to know we are married right?” Bridget questioned me.

“Yes. I know, I think it’s time that we just tell everyone,” I told her as I sat down on our bed.

“I’m not sure I’m ready to be hounded by the reporters. This trial is throwing them in my face anyway,” Bridget told me.

“How about we just let it come out on its own?” I asked her, “Just let it be revealed during the trial?”

“I guess that works,” Bridget said as she went to our closet and started digging out clothes.

“What are you wearing?” I asked my wife.

“This pant suit,” Bridget said as she pulled a black pinstriped pantsuit out of the closet.

“I like that,” I told her.

“Let’s just hope I can still wear it,” Bridget stated.

“I’m sure you can,” I said to her.

“Luke, I’ve still got weight to lose since I had Keegan and Kinley. I look like the Good Year Blimp,” Bridget said as she patted her flat stomach.

“I think you are imagining things. You are just as beautiful as you were all those years ago,” I told her as I pulled her into my arms kissing her passionately.

“I love you,” Bridget said as I gently guided her to our bed laying her down on top of the comforter not breaking our kiss.

An hour later there was a knock on the door, “Are you two dressed? You’re going to be late!” Momma shouted through the door.

“Shit!” Bridget exclaimed, “We’ll be out in a minute!”

We both jumped up and threw our clothes on. While Bridget went to the bathroom to fix her hair and makeup I went downstairs.

“You two are going to end up pregnant again,” Momma said acknowledging that she knew what we had been doing, “It’s too soon to be doing that.”

“Yes ma’am,” I blushed.

“Is Bridget coming?” Momma asked changing the subject.

“She should be down any minute now,” I told her as I slipped my shoes on my feet.
