I’m living an all-time high right now. I just wrapped up my tour, won CMA Entertainer of the Year, the twins turn one this weekend, Thanksgiving is in a couple of weeks, and Bridget and I are doing great now that she’s talking to me again. After I lied to her while we were in Leesburg, she wouldn’t talk to me at all for days. It literally drove me insane. All it took was me apologizing. I’ll have to remember that for next time I screw up. Today, Robin Roberts from ABC is coming out to do an interview and I’m going to show her around the farm.

“Bridge, who is going to keep an eye on the kids today?” I asked as I got out of bed. She had been up for hours it seemed, trying to get everything ready for today.

“Tia’s going to be here and your Momma is here. I think Brit is going to come over later too. I haven’t seen her since her and Jason got engaged, so I’m hoping that I can spend a little time with her this evening when things settle down,” Bridget told me as she was picking up the mess I left last night before I came to bed.

“What time is it? Robin’s supposed to be here at nine,” I said before walking into the bathroom.

“It’s only eight, but I think Kerri said she would be here before then. You should probably get in the shower and get dressed before you go down for coffee. Or I can bring you some up if you want,” Bridget told me.

“If you don’t mind I would love a cup for now, but you can send Kenzie up with it if you’re too busy,” I told her as I turned the shower on.

“I’ll be back in a minute,” she said before I heard the bedroom door close.

I stood under the water, letting it run over my face for what seemed like an eternity before grabbing the shampoo. After that it was a matter of time before I was done. I went to the bedroom, wrapped in only a towel, to find some clothes. Evidently Bridget had sat out clothes for me before she went downstairs. There was a pair of jeans, socks, boxers, a white v-neck, and my favorite leather jacket sitting on the bed. I really think I would fall apart without her. As I started getting dressed the bedroom door opened and Bridget walked in. She was breastfeeding Kinley and had my cup of coffee in her free hand.

“Robin is here,” Bridget said as she handed me the coffee.

“How long have you been feeding Kinley?” I asked after taking that first glorious sip.

“Since I got downstairs. Why do you ask that?” Bridget questioned me.

“Don’t you think that you should do that in private?” I asked her.

“Why? This is a natural thing. A woman feeding her child is something no one should be ashamed of,” Bridget stated as I sat my coffee down and continued to dress for the day.

“I’m not ashamed. I really don’t know how you do it actually. I just think that maybe with everyone in the house today you should be more conservative about just breastfeeding whenever or wherever,” I explained.

“Luke, I love you to death, but you make no sense. Just a few days ago we were sitting in the middle of a crowded restaurant while I fed both of the twins and you said nothing. Anyone, at any time could have taken a picture and posted it online. For all we know someone could have, but now you are concerned with me doing it in our own home. These people are under contract to not make any personal pictures, but yet you are concerned. Personally, it wouldn’t bother me if anyone did. You could post a picture of me feeding the twins for all I care,” Bridget explained as she switched Kinley from one side to the other while standing in front of me.

“I guess I just thought that you wouldn’t be so open about it. I don’t have a problem with you doing it, but yes, I am concerned. I just don’t want anyone staring at you,” I defended myself.
