"Don't try to act over-smart I know you don't want this marriage you can tell me ", said Shivaay

"N...no I am ready for marriage", said Anika and ran from there without waiting for his reaction and reply

"I know she is not ready", he said and flicked his hair. He started following her and reached near her house but before he could open the door he heard her cries

"Was I that much wrong?", He asked himself and leaned towards the door to hear her and Gauri's conversation. He then moved aside and opened the door a bit slow to see what was happening inside

"Dii what happened? You were so happy right", said Gauri and hugged Anika

"I was. But what can I do Gauri I have to marry him... He... He said he can't consider me as his wife.. tell me who will marry such a guy? When a girl doesn't even know whether she will ever get that place or not. Dadi said he will change I... I can understand maybe he will but... How will I...", Cried Anika hugging Gauri tightly as she was falling weak

"Then cancel this marriage di. That egoist will not say no", said Gauri angrily

"Gauri... He was trying to stop this marriage but... I can't even I saw that he is in pain... Like it's just his past because of which he is unable to believe marriages", said Anika

Gauri wiped Anika's tears. Shivaay who was standing there started thinking

"I never talked about my past with her. And dadi will never than how she guessed? That too correctly", he thought and heard Gauri's voice again which broke the chain of his thoughts

"What's your fault here di? Do you think you will be able to play a role as a wife when you are unwanted there? What if he behaved like trash with you?", asked Gauri angrily. She was so angry at Shivaay for not saying clearly. Shivaay who was listening to their conversation felt bad. Even if he said he can't consider her as his wife, he will never misbehave with her. She will be his respectful wife to the whole world and family as well

"It will never happen", he said and entered the room.

Gauri and Anika looked at him surprised as they never thought he will come there to talk with them, especially at night. Gauri's blood boiled seeing him.

"Why are you here Mr Oberoi", shouted Gauri angrily and was about to go near Shivaay when Anika held her hand

"Don't forget Gauri that he is my would-be husband", said Anika eying Shivaay with teary eyes. Even she was hurt because of his words.

It's an arranged marriage then how can he think that she will understand him like a girlfriend. She can't even ask him about her rights as they don't even share a friendship bond then how they will work for marriage to make it successful

"I am here to clear one confusion", he said and sat near Anika. He knew very well that she was not ready for this marriage from her heart. It's just because of dadi

"I have a past due to which I hate marriages. I don't know how we will move in this marriage... If you want to...
I can't tell you anything about my past...I can't but try to understand I don't believe in love and marriages... I don't think a thing like love exists. At least not for me", he said and looked here and there as he don't know what to do

Anika smiled and forwarded her hand to hold his but then immediately took her hand back when she realised that he is not Sahil whom he can convince by holding his hand. Shivaay noticed that and said

"You can h...hold my hand", he said

"It's just I thought you are Sahil and..", she said but Shivaay interrupted her

"Don't worry. I don't know how to let you know about my side... Even I am trapped. I don't want to destroy your life. I tried to convince dadi but you said yes so.. how can I deny it? If you don't want marriage then why are you accepting this in front of dadi? She thinks I am manipulating you.

When I clearly said that don't believe in marriage then I really mean it. I don't know whether I will ever be able to accept this marriage or not. I mean I will give you respect as wife rights to but.. . I can't take a step ahead in that relationship", he said while looking down because of regret. To make her angry he needs to tell her about his feelings

"Shivaay I don't know what to say but for a girl, it pains a lot", she said with tears. She wiped her tears and looked aside to control her tears

"I know that's why I am trying to stop this marriage. Try to be abundant on your decision in front of dadi rest I will handle", he said

"Why can't you cancel this marriage yourself?", Shouted Gauri at top of her voice. She was angry with Shivaay who came to ask Anika to cancel her marriage

"Gauri ask your sister who said yes to this marriage not from me who clearly said no. My decision depends upon her", he said and looked at Anika who was looking down

"You want this marriage or not?", He asked to which Anika nodded

"Won't you respect me ever?", Asked Anika with a heavy voice

"I will give you respect If you will marry me and if you didn't then too I will but....only one problem is that I can't fall in love. Whole married life will depend upon your decisions but... By marrying me you are taking the risk", he said in low voice. He don't know why her tears were affecting him much. He wants To wipe them but doesn't know how to? He doesn't have any right now

He waited for a minute but Anika was silent. Shivaay gave her his hanky and said

"I am giving you one day. The decision of marriage will depend upon you and I promise that it will not affect us. Like I will not hate you if you rejected or accepted the proposal. You will get respect from my side always. You are a nice girl and beautiful as well but... I don't want to ruin your life so take decision widely not because of pressure", said Shivaay and left from there
