Prompt/Song: You come home after a long day of work to find your fiancé in a rather rare, upbeat and positive mood.
Hungry Eyes by Eric Carmen.

A/N: Again! After episode two of TFATWS, I need to write some happy Bucky stuff. He just deserves to be happy, so I'm gonna make it happen. Also: he still needs that hug from last week!

Sometimes, work sucks.

Yeah.

It's horrible.

Nothing like working around and with people who either don't care about anything except themselves or have no desire whatsoever to do anything but complain.

I mean, I complain, but hey, I still get my work done.

Sighing heavily, you continue to trudge down the familiar stretch of Brooklyn sidewalk, your paces quickening a bit as you pass the small restaurant on the corner.

Today had been one heck of a day.

That's about all there is to it.

Right about now, you'd kill to teleport home, change into your pajamas and then snuggle into the couch with your fiancé, talking about both of your days.

But no.

You don't have the ability to teleport, nor do you have Doctor Strange's abilities to open up those sparkly portal thingies.

So, you continue to march on, adjusting the strap of the backpack secured tightly over your shoulders and across the chest - a habit he'd instilled into you after breaking up a fair share of skirmishes with morons trying to take your money.

Ah yes, James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes.

The man who's your soon to be husband, ironically.

And he said he'd never marry anyone.

Chuckling to yourself with a shake of your head, you unzip the pocket of your jacket and retrieve your keys, stepping into the small foyer of your apartment complex and continuing up the stairs.

The sound of your booted footsteps off of the metal steps beneath you echoes in the stairwell, no other noise to be heard.

So, you decide to fill the silence with a gentle humming, your paces speeding up once more as you sprint down the hallway, instinctively skittering to a halt outside the door to your shared home.

As you fit your key into the lock and push open the door, the familiar tune of Hungry Eyes and the smell of cleaning supplies hits your senses.

Is he actually-

"One look at you and I can't disguise!" The rather pitchy voice of Bucky Barnes sounds as his swaying form appears from the hallway that leads to the one bedroom in the living space, so caught up in his singing and dancing he doesn't even notice your slightly shocked presence standing at the front door.

"I've got Hungry Eyes! I feel the magic between you and I!"

Resisting the urge to burst into laughter right then and there and risk scaring the oblivious man in front of you to death, you decide to step out of the room, locking the door behind you.

Once you're back in the hallway, you raise your knuckle to the cool metal door in front of you, wrapping against it three times before stepping away slightly, straining to hear his movements from the opposite side.

What sounds like something crashing to the floor makes you wince, though you can't help but giggle, imagining the scene play out in front of you.

Bucky racing towards the old stereo you both had managed to scrounge up pieces for. You both had repaired and got it working again, good as new.
