A/N: This one is sort of inspired by the song Another Love by Tom Odell (Above), using a bunch of the POVs I've seen on TikTok with the same audio as another slight piece of inspiration...

Warnings: Sad. Possible trigger warnings of intentional harm?

Also: I'm literally in tears as I finish writing the ending of this story. So, uhm, read at your own risk?

Your head is pounding.

Your entire body is aching.

Something damp is evidently sliding down your cheeks, though you're not quite sure what the substance could be.

In fact, you're not even sure where you are.

And why are you so sore?

Groggily, you force your eyes to open, wincing as the bright lights of your new surroundings take place of the darkness that had previously been around you.

This isn't the same warehouse you and your Partner had been on the roof of, watching your targets through the scopes of your sniper rifles...

Alarm blazes through you, the rest of your senses quickly following.

Where is he? Where is Bucky?

Struggling to survey the room you're currently tied up in, the ropes around your wrists and ankles enough proof of that fact, panic continues to swell.

Someone took us hostage. Trapped us here.

Or maybe just me?

However, your worried thoughts are soon momentarily silenced upon laying your gaze on the familiarly darkly clothed figure also restrained across from you, though his restraints are much more than simple cords.

No, rather, his left arm is strung up in a sort of makeshift vice mounted to the wall, the lower part of the black and gold prosthetic dimly glistening against the lights.

"Bucky?" You manage to croak out, your voice cracking and hoarse.

The sound of it though is enough to rouse your Partner from whatever seemingly exhausted state he's in, his head lifting slowly to face you.

"Hey," He replies softly, voice a husky whisper, his eyes gently resting on you from across the way. "You okay?"

You ignore his question, taking in his own beaten, bloodied and bruised figure.

"Are you?" You hiss, dread beginning to rise within you. "What did they do to you, Buck?"

At this, he sighs heavily, wincing as he does so, shifting against his restraints in a vain attempt to get comfortable.

"Nothing I couldn't handle," Bucky murmurs, his gaze dropping from yours and to the floor, his mind wandering down darker paths.

"Hey, hey, hey," You urge, cursing the binds holding you from moving closer to him. "I'm here with you. You're not the Winter Soldier anymore. We'll be fine."
