A/N: I need to stop writing things over numerous nights!!! Because then they wander and make zero sense! Like this one! But anyways. Yeah. This is a mess. But enjoy?

"Hey! Katy! It's not-" You protest as your co-worker hastily catches the keys from the sharply dressed man who had just pulled up in one of the fanciest sports cars you've seen yet on this job.

"Your turn," Shaun, your longtime best friend, housemate and co-worker finishes for you with a heavy sigh, your other co-worker who never fails to be a literal ball of energy snatching the keys away and scrambling into the drivers side of the sleek looking vehicle.

"C'mon, dude," You huff, almost echoing Shaun's earlier sigh of disapproval as you lean against the rolled down window, peering in at the woman sitting in the driver's seat, a giddy grin plastered across her features.

"You drove last time."

"Y/N's right," The man standing idly beside you chimes in, earning an eye roll from Katy. "You did drive last time."

"Do you guys like, not trust my driving skills or something? Because every time we get a nice lookin' machine dropped off here, y'all pounce on me," She explains, frowning slightly before peeking up again. "I'm like, the Asian Jeff Gordon, remember?"

"Oh yes, we remember quite vividly," You chuckle, sharing a briefly reminiscent look with Shaun. "But, c'mon. We've got a schedule to keep."

"Miss L/N, suddenly all business? How unlike her!" Katy mocks in feigned surprise, once more pulling a laugh from you.

"Okay, okay. Whatever," You grumble with a slight grin, rounding the passenger side and folding the seat down.

"Please don't do anything ridiculously crazy," You overhear your friend mutter as he follows your lead, clambering into the vehicle and shutting the door.

"Oh, I won't. I'll go slow," Katy assures with a false smile, tossing it back to where you're sitting, crammed into the very small, almost nonexistent back seat.

"Mhm."

****

Needless to say, she did not go slow.

You could've sworn you'd ended up with whiplash by the time that dang car had been parked safely in its parking spot.

Shaun hadn't been too impressed either, having given Katy a look of 'seriously?' all while exiting the vehicle holding the side of his neck in protest.

And now, as the three of you are all clocking out for the day, chattering away amongst yourselves and minding your own business, stepping out into the busy San Fransisco streets, you can't help but feel at ease, regardless of the stressful day you'd just been dragged through.

"So? Who's up for dinner, a movie and a sleepover?" Your bubbly friend exclaims abruptly, cutting through the momentary beat of silence that had settled.

"Uh," Shaun begins, a look of uncertainty being passed towards you, to which you simply return with a shrug of your shoulders.

"I don't see why not," You reply, accepting Katy's invite with a genuine grin. "What time should we be to your place?"

"6:30 - Mom's putting the food on the table. And whoever's there will eat."

Nodding in acknowledgment, the three of you continue to walk in aways before getting to the usual corner where everyone goes their separate ways.

"We'll see you at 6:30, then," Shaun confirms, coming to a halt, which instinctively stops the entire group.

"Sounds like a plan!" Katy beams, stepping away from the pair of you, walking backwards. "And don't bother dressing up! Keep it casual, you too!"
