!TFATWS SPOILERS! Alsoo- you're just kinda taking Sam's spot. So Steve gave you the shield, and you did what Sam did.

"Bucky?"

"I'm not going."

I rolled my eyes, and walked into his room.

"You know what happens when you don't?"

He rolled on his side, "It's stupid."

"You'll get arrested." I walked over to him, and grabbed his arm.

I realize now- bad idea. I grabbed his vibranium arm without thinking, and his whole body flinched.

I let out a sigh, "Come on Buck."

I let go of his hand, and he sat up.

"I'll be ready in a few minutes."

I nodded, and left him alone. A few minutes later I was shoving him into the large room while Dr. Raynor watched. Finally I got him on the couch, and went to leave but he grabbed my arm.

"What're you doing?"

He pulled me down next to him with a grunt. I looked up to Raynor, and she was frowning just as much as me.

"She needs to leave."

He shook his head, "She can stay, I don't mind."

She looked back to me and sighed, "Y/n?"

I nodded my head a little confused.

"Mr. Barnes talks about you alot."

I shifted in my seat a little, and she looked back to him.

"I'm really not supposed to do this, but here we go. Since she's here, we're gonna talk with her. Kinda like couples therapy."

"That's stupid." I could feel the brooding glare he sent her way.

"It is, can I not just sit here silently and listen?"

She shook her head. "Let's try a gazing activity."

She got up, and grabbed two folding chairs. She handed one to me, and one to Bucky.

"Sit facing each other."

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, and did as she said.

"Closer."

We scootched in as much as we could.

"Closer."

We shared a look, and then he parted his knees. I got closer, and we both made faces when I was done moving. Both our knees were dangerously close to a very private area.

"Ok." I could hear the faint smile in her voice.

We sat staring, not blinking. At first I didn't mean to not blink, but now it was a staring contest. One I didn't plan to lose. Bucky, and I have always been..... friends. After Steve left we drifted a little. He stopped answering my texts, and most out conversations turned hostile fast. I didn't like it, nor did I want it but it happened.

"Wait, what're you doing? Are you having a staring contest?"

In any other circumstances I would've burst out laughing.

"Just, blink." She snapped her fingers in our face, and we both blinked. "Sweet jesus."

She leaned back in her chair with a sigh. "All right James why does y/n aggravate you... and don't say something childish."
