Xiao heeds no uncertainty as he hoists his winged spear up above you, his eyes turning into two narrow slits at the sight of you begging for mercy. He glowers, his glare brimful of lour and darkness.
"Please spare me!" You exclaim once again as your eyes are still shut to refrain from seeing the gut-wrenching sight of your lover corrupted by the Karma.
A thick wall of silence suddenly breaks in and much to your surprise, the clanking noise of the weapon against the solid ground rang into your ears.
What's happening?
Opening your eyes as soon as you heard the noise, your jaw dropped from the sight. The corrupted adeptus dropped his Jade Spear, his eyes widened at the full on realization.
Something feels familiar. It was like the same set of words you uttered to him very back then.
" Please spare me. "
The words, the tone and the person reminds him of something. That particular something he quite couldn't wrap a finger around on.
He holds onto his head, a twinge of guilt and pain striking in him. Xiao howls from the feeling, and now you're conferred with two choices-
Either pick up the weapon and end Xiao's suffering,
Or commit something foolish and pull him close to you instead.
