Ch. 12: The Holy Lyre

Y/N POV

*knock knock*

*Knock*

*BANGGG*

My eyes opened wide with the door, busting open revealing Aether with Paimon. I'm still in my pajamas and my hair is  messy.

Y/N: Would you two cut it out!? It's 5 AM!
Paimon: Sorry Y/N, but this time; breakfast is early!
Y/N: *sigh* Wait for me, i have to take a shower first.
Aether: We'll be Waiting on the lobby...

I nodded as they closed my door, amber told us that each of our rooms has it's own private bathroom. After taking a quick shower, i dried my hair and did my daily hairstyle (To people out there with short hair, I'm sorry but in this story you need to have long hair T_T) . I put on my usual clothes and bring my AirPods and Phone with me, i clapped my hands to make the objects vanish. I stepped out of my room and walked down the stairs.

Paimon: Took you long enough!
Aether: For the first time, we aren't late. C'mon they're waiting for us..

We head down to the library, weird to think we eat our daily breakfast and dinner there instead of a dining room. As we entered the room we saw everyone already seated, while amber served the meals.

Jean: Ah, you three finally arrived. Take your seat.

The three of us nodded, i saw two empty seats near kaeya, the other one was near Lisa. I decided to head off near Lisa and let my travelling partners have the seats near Kaeya.

Kaeya: Aww man, what a bummer. I thought Y/N would sit next to me.
Lisa: I'm glad you decided to sit next to me, cutie.
Y/N: I want to ask you something..
Lisa: Ask anything dear.
Y/N: Where do these foods come from? And why are we taking meals inside a library?

"Well about that..." Jean cleared her throat. "2 months ago, we used to have a kitchen and dining room, but a bunch of treasure hoarders decided to break into our HQ. Kaeya had to defend our security, so in result; while he casted a spell of ice; the ice crashed between the walls connecting the two rooms. The treasurer hoarders were arrested, but in exchange the rooms need to be fixed." Jean explained and Kaeya sighed. "And the food came from Good Hunter, a shop that sells food, cooking ingredients and Cooking Recipes" Lisa followed up while she took a bite of her Raddish Veggie Soup.

Paimon: It's rare seeing kaeya on this state.
Kaeya: Shut up Floating Child.
Paimon: Excuse you half eyed freak!
Amber: Calm down you two *sigh*
Aether: So why do we eat meals here in the library? Aren't there any other good place to take meals?
Jean: It was Lisa's Idea, she thinks that no one would disturb the peace inside a library, and libraries have huge tables that can be reassembled.

Later on, we finished our meals and cleaned our tables. "I swear Good Hunter makes the best Outrider Champion Steak!" Amber exclaimed while fixing her hair. "Y/N, about your training..." Lisa coughed. "We decided it's best you don't take it" Jean said. All three of our eyes widened. "Why...?" I asked.

Jean: It's best if you learn magic throughout your journey, amber learned how to master magic while learning how to use a windglider. Sometimes it's best to self-learn while your teachers help you often.
Y/N: Hm, you're right. I did learn how to sew by watching my mom do it... But what's my elemental power?
Lisa: Hmm, I'll tell what it's about After dinner. We'll have to part ways to eat dinner since today will be a busy day for us. Come to the library once you finish eating.
Amber: Oh it's already 6:10 AM, gotta patrol the outskirts of the City. See you guys later!
