"But....Do they only exist on your imagination?" Paimon looked down on the ground. "Yes, but if your imaginary friend is coincidentally a real ghost or demon. Then it isn't imaginary anymore." Aether explained. "Eh!? So how do you avoid a demon being your imaginary friend?"

"I don't think it's possible, besides..when you're friends with them they won't bother hurting you. Plus i heard stories about kids having demons as their imaginary friends and they cursed other kids who tried to bully their human friend." I crossed my arms. "It also acts like a bodyguard, huh..." Aether put a finger under her chin.

"So this imaginary friends of yours...when i can i meet them? This time, paimon is brave!" Paimon raised her fist up. "Imaginary friends disappear once you grow up." Aether cleared his throat. "Then what about you, Y/N?"

"It disappears too, you see...Most demons that are your imaginary friend is like assigned to be your guardian. Ironic since demons are meant to cause evil, but it's actually true. Once you matured or turn into a teen, they'll disappear and mention that they've finished their job." "Ohhhh, so that's how it is...but your siblings. Do they have imaginary friend too?"

Aether: My sister has it, how about your brother Y/N?
You: My brother doesn't have any, imaginary friends only appear if you're feeling lonely. At such a young age, my brother is so focused on learning to become an idol. I too, was focused on learning my own set of skills like tailoring but he didn't have a breaktime compared to me.

"Your childhood must be full of obligations and fun at the same time. But for your brother....being an idol back in your world is really hard. Does he even get lonely?" Aether crossed his arms. "We sometimes hangout with my imaginary friend, but i already told you that he's too focused on learning....So he never gets lonely and pushes himself even if he's tired."

"I'm really looking forward to meet him, all that effort from his childhood must've put him into a good shape now. And you, Aether; your sister too is lucky to have an imaginary friend." Paimon huffed at the blonde boy.

Venti came up to us, scaring me a little. "Agh tone-deaf bard! What are you doing here?" Paimon scoffed at Venti and he told us about Lisa making new contraptions. "Hello Venti, it's been awhile" i waved my hand. "New contraptions? She didn't told me about it but oh well" Aether shrugged.

"Contraptions..? Paimon is kinda nervous" i can feel paimon shivering. "It has been awhile Y/N, and don't speak of miss lisa like that. For this contraption, she had to import some dangerous materials from Sumeru" While venti is explaining, his stare was directed to my chest. Such a perv, but honestly he isn't a stranger and a close companion so there's nothing wrong with it.

He showed us a nirmana detector, it looked like a normal detector and said that he's borrowing for a while from Lisa. "Anyway, it's all yours now Travellers. Take a look, see if you can see Nora's imaginary friend" he handed Aether the detector and used it. While trying to peek i can feel venti's arms snaking up on my waist. "For fucks sake Venti...." i whisper-yelled.

"Whoops, it seems like my hands moved by itself" he gave me a cheeky grin, obviously he whispered it enough for me to hear. "It seems like they're best friends" Aether said while using the detector. "It works on you too? I'll help you three on finding everyone's imaginary frien.d" Aether and paimon are still focused on the detector and they let out a "mmm" in response.
